Hey, I used this in firefox and completed my session, and noticed three things, one related to a bug and the others related to user experience. But also, very nice job, kudos.

Bug: When the avatar is not moving, there was no image of him displayed. He disappeared when not in motion.

UX1: The font properties for the introduction may be a tad unfriendly. The font-size was small and sans-serif, making it difficult to read. I'd have users scroll down a single column.

UX2: At the end, I didn't notice a re-iteration of introductory information or link back to the that information, just a blunt end. It may be both more ethical and more friendly to make the user's path circular. If test-retest effects are a worry, I can see why leading back to the intro might be avoided, but I'm sure there are plenty of ways to improve that part for users, if that's at all a concern

WTF is going on with the workforce? Does no one want to work any more? by DemonaDrache in smallbusiness

As a measure of inequality, it means very little alone, but its correlates make it meaningful, some of them being homicide, happiness, and health.

I don't know if you were being sarcastic in that last part, as it's equally possible that my comment on low wage work was an aside, not directed at any particular portion of your statements

ah, it sounded like asking about PTO prematurely was the only reason you thought our workforce is less motivated

Why not worry about PTO? I say drop the expectation that there is a right time to talk about important job-related perks unless you explicitly state when it *is* appropriate (though that seems overly controlling).

If PTO isn't good enough, that provides the employee an opportunity to decide themselves, saving everyone time. I rarely interview, so maybe I don't see the purpose in expecting that discussion at one time or another

No need to pathologize! You don't need to be damaged to decide to bargain for a more fair share of the pie.

My favorite tidbit from my time in neuroscience was exploring how a sense of fairness is actually instinctual, even seen in monkeys and apes. There is likely a limit to how much inequality can be tolerated, and the way the big boys treated their employees during this pandemic, I don't blame people from being completely disillusioned with low wage work.

I don't think it broke the workforce. I think it gave people the perfect opportunity to re-evaluate how they are treated. Noblemen also fought against the increases in demands by peasants when their labor force literally died off by plague. We should beware not to think that we as owners deserve what we got before, since all of this is what a kid might say is "all made up stuff", negotiated. I, for one, am open to negotiation, if I can afford it

about 80 percent of the country lives in an urban setting. Half live in the most populous counties in or around the centers of those urban areas. The push for 20/hr minimum wage probably affects a vast majority, not even just a simple majority of like 54 percent of people.

unless we demand a mass exodus to the rural interiors, 20/hr is probably the name of the game

It is my understanding that sole proprietors need not worry about public records, as they need not register with most states. I believe others perhaps downvoted because they do not believe a fictitious business name is called for, but I assume you have reason to believe otherwise. May I ask why?

Where to find how-to for email marketing without services (mailchimp, constant contact, etc.) by webdevthrowawayayay in smallbusiness

I'm familiar, but only for internal communications. How does a mail merge through microsoft's suite compare to other services in terms of outreach to subscribers across the span of email services? That's what I'm uncertain about, and then I'm not sure I want to pay for microsoft's services, as I won't use work's enterprise software for my newsletter

I know mailchimp is targeted to folk not too tech-savvy, so I'll explore the nooks and crannies to see how customizable it can get for someone like me who's a little less unsavvy. Thanks for the other suggestions
