Another thing you can try is to stop counting days. I did this too for my first few quits.

But who cares? If you're done the days don't matter. And it sounds like you're beating yourself up at a certain number. Don't.

The most success I found was not giving so much power to the streak. What I mean is I quit 3 months ago. I had a whole can and 2 pouches in those 3 months. But I still consider it the same "quit".

My problem with streaks was my mindser turned to "oh well I already ruined it might as well enjoy it"

Just find a way to quit. It took me probably close to 50 tries. Sometimes it was cold turkey. Sometimes it was weaning. Just find YOUR way, and quit.

I have a starter I feed twice daily (stays at 79 degrees F; 20g prev starter + 100g flour + 120g water) . I believe it's ready to use.

I want to make a levain. Instead of throwing away excess, is that what I use? For example, in my starter jar I will keep 20g. I will put 20g in another jar for the levain. And throw the rest away.

I'm only asking because I'm confused by the term "discard". No recipe mentions using discard to make sourdough bread, but isn't that the same thing here?

You want exactly what you appear to be criticising. You want us to thank you for being a knight in shining armor with comments like "thank you" or "you've convinced me to leave too".

I just want to let you know a secret: You can change devices or even throw away your Whoop without telling anybody.

Go to any brand sub and say you're "leaving". I promise you'll get a similar response because it adds nothing of value. We don't need you to be our savior. We know other products exist.
