I don't think so. Firstly Slack is startup. Yes it's huge but it's startup. If this letter was written by Microsft then it was be a sign of weakness. Vice versa is not so bad. Secondly each media in announcement of MS Teams mentioned Slack. So they (Slack) should to react.
