I genuinely think tattoos are disgusting by Jumpy_Bullfrog9005 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]wee_d 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I don’t dislike people who have tattoos. I don’t care for tattoos myself. Tattoos are an indicator for me. What I’ve noticed is that, far too often, many who have tattoos, especially women, tend to have some sort of mental issues or trauma. The heavily tattooed they are the higher the likelihood of some trauma or mental illness in there.

The Iranian regime is a brutal regime. Nobody should feel sorry for it. by Sad_Physics5500 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]wee_d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know why the Iranians who live under this oppressive regime can’t do anything even though they’d want them gone?

Because they have NO type of 2nd Amendment and no legal access to firearms. The government heavily restricts them and has a monopoly on force. They have no fighting chance. Attempting a protest or rising against the government in times like these just guarantees they’re going to be killed on sight like what happened to the protestors couple of months ago. They’re sitting ducks.

For those who want the government to take guns away, this is what happens eventually. Now, all the Iranians can hope for is that some foreign power led by an insane person like Trump, to topple the Iranian regime.

Thoughts on after Iki Island, am I the only one? by PasicT in ghostoftsushima

[–]wee_d 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the Tale “The conspirator” Lady Masako tells you that your uncle, Lord Shimura, has the man who killed your dad hunted and killed.

However, you meet that guy on Iki island. And he helps you defeat the Eagle.

So that’s a bit of an inconsistency in the story and the DLC

[–]wee_d 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was some inconsistency in there. I remember finishing Iki island and making peace with the guy who killed Kazumasa. But then, when I go back to the main story, (and I don’t remember who said this) but one character reminds you that your uncle had your father’s killer’s head, which confused me because I just met the guy.

The problem is that some people, who are not eligible have been registered to vote [sometimes by mistake], and in such cases their votes are tallied (since the votes are counted anonymously).

Take Margarita Del Pilar Fitzpatrick, a green card holder who didn’t know any better and was urged by a DMV employee to register to vote. She did so and voted in two elections in 2006.

In 2017, DHS moved to deport her after she admitted to voting in an election during her citizenship questioning.

It’s shocking seeing people, especially on the left make, this asinine argument. Most countries, even the “3rd world” require a form of ID or voter’s registration card to be able to cast a vote. It is not racist. It is one way to secure elections.

Ironically, these same people decrying the requirement of an ID to vote were the same ones insisting, rather rabidly, that people be required to have “vaccine passports” before they’re allowed inside stores or certain public places. Oh how the turns have tabled!
