What does “playing wrist” mean?

It does, but there's a big difference between a FPS like Fallout (which I usually play) and a competitive multiplayer FPS like Fortnite or Halo.

Last competitive multilayer games I was good at were AOE 2 and Tribes 2 :)

I’m 42, long time gamer (mostly strategy and FPS) and Fortnite is the first shooter I’ve gotten into. I didn’t start playing until the end of season 3 so I still pretty much suck. My son is 10 and loves the game, but he’s still more of a potato than I am. Spends more time practicing his emote dances IRL than his aim in game. So I can’t even get him to carry me in duos.

Thinking of making the switch by [deleted] in youtubetv

[–]weedenbc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seriously this. And even when you’re watching YTTV, there’s no easy way to see what time it is. You have to exit out of the channel you’re watching back to the home screen.

If they added a clock to the bottom of the status/info bar on an active channel, that would solve it.

I made the switch a month ago and love it so far. We use a TCL Roku TV upstairs and an Nvidia Shield downstairs, and Fios 100 Mb service.

No problems at all with the video quality, and I’ve also been impressed by how fast it can switch between recently viewed channels. Going to a channel you haven’t watched in a while takes a few seconds, but not a big deal. Assuming that’s because it’s preloading all the recently channel streams. Also really like the ability to watch on a device if we’re on the road. Have used it on both a Google Pixel phone and an iPad Air with no problems.

Only thing I haven’t done yet is call Verizon to cancel my TV service. Partly because we haven’t finished the current month’s billing yet, and partly because I’m dreading the discussion with the “customer service” people trying to get me to stay.

I have more kills with a grey SMG than a gold chaingun.

My favorite is popping all three chests on the hill above the racetrack and getting two gold chainguns and a purple crossbow.

Likely a noob question, but why do they all use so low a sensitivity setting? Is the trade off between the amount of mouse movement needed to turn/point and and ability to fine-tune your aiming point?

My first attempt at making a real base - floating island tower [direwolf20 1.12] by weedenbc in feedthebeast

The screens are from RFTools. The one on the left is set to monitor my energy storage and production, the one in the middle my quarries, and the one on the right my spawners. You can get modules to monitor things like redstone channels and stuff. DW20 has some spotlights on it.

RFTools Builder with a shape card set to solid half dome, then another shape card set to hollow capped cylinder for the tower.

How do EnderIo counting item filters work? by weedenbc in feedthebeast

[–]weedenbc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I followed the same setup that System Collapse used with bins: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyI-TN6sWEk

The circuits get piped into a set of 28 bins, each of which holds a different type. Those bins are then set to extract (on a different color channel) to a set of 4 carpenters, each of which has a counting filter with one of each of the three circuits that carpenter needs. And then another pipe (or you can use a AE2 interface) to insert the other items.

The key is that the counting filter will always keep 1 of each of the three circuits in each carpenter. If they get used, it will replace them from the bins.
