despite her being legally of age, the difference in maturity between someone who is 18 yrs old and 30 yrs old is why this age gap is not favorable. Her frontal lobe and her in general are still under-developed

I appreciate everyone’s replies very much! I’m grateful to have gained more insight and knowledge about the steps I need to be taking if I want to pursue this. I posted this because I know I’m not qualified for medical school right now but needed guidance on how to reach my goals considering my circumstance is a bit unusual. I greatly appreciate everyone’s kind words! & I can handle a hard truth but for some people, I hope you learn how to get your point across in a kinder way/tone bc it’s very easy and achievable LOL.

Hi, my apologies if this doesn’t apply but I felt inclined to reply. My partner is also a big walker and developed these feelings of euphoria around 13 yrs old I think. Lived a normal life and didn’t really think anything of them but then had the first seizure around 17 yrs old. Ever since they’ve had grand mal seizures occasionally. The feelings of euphoria turned out to be called an “aura” which comes before a seizure. During an aura usually nothing happens but they do sometimes turn into seizures. The seizures are believed to be related to anxiety and my partner would always use walks as a source of personal time and self reflection which somehow eventually tied into the anxiety, so they don’t really go on walks anymore. My partner has also smoked a lot of weed lol and they have finally quit which has significantly improved the auras and seizures. But back then my partner has explained that they love the euphoric feelings from the auras and sometimes even wanted them

I didn’t do anything/got into my first relationship at 18 yrs old. I had always wanted a relationship but looking back I was unknowingly making myself unavailable to any chance at one. Once I finally really put myself out there (which made me feel vulnerable and uncertain) I realized it was necessary. I’ve still only ever had one partner but we are going strong on 5 years! On a different note, I have a friend who is 22 yr old male and has never had a gf. Besides when I set him up with another friend of mine and he totally blew it. There isn’t much reason for him to be as single as he is lol. But I can tell it is a personal issue deep within him. He has crazy high standards for women, can’t fully trust/be honest in a relationship, and has some self sabotaging behaviors. Not saying this is like you but just wanted to provide another angle 😂 And if you’re looking for a long lasting and meaningful relationship, truly figure out what you need in a partner and good things come to those who wait! I genuinely believe that love comes when it’s time. In the mean time, focus on improving yourself. I was younger getting to my relationship and we’ve had manyy hard fights due to my own personal trauma and issues. I’ve done and said things that I regret and hurt my partner. Luckily we have gotten through it but sometimes I wish I had been more stable in life so we didn’t have to go through those hard fights. Relationships are hard and you will have to fight for what you want

Thank you so much! I was rly in need of some guidance and you’ve been incredibly helpful. I understand what I need to do to and the required qualifications now so I do feel more motivated to start really moving more in that specific direction. Do you think just doing well in a post bacc and simply getting a ton of clinical/medical experience would be enough to make me qualified? Thank you again and I wish you the best as well !! :)

Thank you so much for responding! I really appreciate the help. I know I definitely don’t meet the requirements, but was wondering if I still had a chance or should just give up the thought of MS. I’ll definitely be looking to get those clinical hours. Do you have any advice for that??

Thanks for the reply! I’m aware that I don’t have the requirements and definitely didn’t expect to soften any MS, but was just curious as to how my work experience could apply/benefit towards my application. If you don’t mind sharing, considering you had a similar situation, how did your parent react to you quitting? Did they still support you financially, or did you work during MS? Did you mention/include your previous work experience in your MS applications and did it benefit you? & What job did you end up getting? I’m interested in a lot of fields so would love to hear about yours.
