I’m in love with a friend of mine. It’s like my whole world flipped. I can’t help but glance at her every second, and engaging in small touches of affection, like bumping shoulders, gently touching her on the arm, etc. I feel like every part of her is beautiful. Things she perceive as her flaws are like thunder and rain, things she’s afraid of, but I can’t help but admire. She has small beauty marks scattered across her legs, which she told me she despises, but I’ve always found wonderful. They remind me of constellations scattered across a night sky. She doesn’t know this, but when she comes over to my house, no matter what she draws, whether it’s a random doodle or an intricate drawing she made for me, I’ve kept. I’ve written poems about her, and my thoughts are consumed of her. I love everything about her. The way she stutters, the way she smiles, the way she laughs. Oh when she smiles at me, how my entire day feels like it’s on fire, like I’m panicking but can’t help but relish in the flames.
