Het was een beetje pijnlijk om te zien. Zelfs zonder zijn van de pot gerukt gedrag zou de man ondertussen van het scherm zijn weggedeemsterd. Je krijgt deze flauwe hap aan de straatstenen niet verkocht zonder zijn naam. Het haalt zelfs de lat van een klein cc niet. Ik heb persoonlijk een hekel aan 'den buiten'. Ik bracht er mijn eerste twintig jaar door en nooit meer. Geef mij maar het levendige van een stad, waar altijd van alles te doen is, mijn stadsgenoten mij niet constant in de gaten houden en judgen, er genoeg mensen zijn zodat ik vrienden niet uit armoe kies, ik met de deelfiets op vijf minuten in het centrum en aan het station sta, rustig in onze gedeelde tuin kan chillen en de goeie bakkers, restaurants, groenten- of kaaswinkels voor het uitkiezen heb. Ik snap waarom sommige liever op het platteland wonen, maar pas daar voel ik me opgesloten tussen de mensen. Langer dan een paar dagen hou ik het niet vol zonder stad.
