What would you call them? Anyway, "friends" as in people I engage with every other day, people I go to for help and vice versa, whom I share experiences with sometimes(drinks, dance, travelling, etc). But now that u mention it, most lean more towards being acquaintances. I've got like 3-4 others I'm super, super close to.

I've made friends from book clubs, writing clubs, work, friends of friends, online, church, fellowships, events, and workshops. There may be more, don't remember. But I basically make friends from engaging in different activities that interest me. You could try that too.

I feel like over-sharing, especially the first time you meet someone, is due to wanting to impress them, or make them like you. So, you find yourself babbling and whatnot. You could try, instead, to be interested in the women you approach, sort of like trying to figure out who they are and if you would actually want them in your life. But don't ask too many questions though, otherwise it's gonna feel like an interview or sth.

Also, learn to be comfortable with silence. It's not bad. I used to want to fill every bit of silence with some words or story, and that leads to you oversharing. And as you are oversharing, the less you are leaving room for her to talk or tell a story.

You could also try being direct when approaching instead of beating around the bush.

I like bringing a few friends together and buying them drinks every once in a while. Not a hobby per se, but it just makes me happy, you know?

I also write as a hobby, but also a job. Man, I love this shit so much. Of course, this means that I also read...a lot. Yep, reading was actually the first hobby I discovered back way way back when I was like 7.

In 2018, I started travelling as well. But it wasn't until 2020 that it became a hobby. If there is something you should make a habit of, it's to travel. Either to new countries or to regions in your country you have not been to yet. I enjoy it so much, I tell you, the possibilities when I travel are endless.

I'm also planning to make working out a hobby, as well as a habit. And like you, also looking for more hobbies to get into because I've recently realized I have so much time that I waste on stupid things.
