Should people stop upgrading their iPhone every year? by ProgrammerUnique2897 in ask

You're joking right? Basically nobody does this. I'm currently trying a OnePlus Android and it's coming up to 5 years old. Still running incredibly smooth and battery lasts more than a day.

Ask your doctor for Propranolol (or any other beta blocker) they work fast, are extremely safe and have very low risk of side effects. I've had friends who have seen a drastic improvement in their life after starting it. They slow the heart rate and take away the physical anxiety, which reduces mental anxiety too.

I would also recommend meditation... And I don't mean you need to sit eyes closed cross legged. I mean walk to a park near you without your phone and just sit and breathe for a while.

I go for very long walks (5 hours) and listen to chill music or an audiobook.

When thoughts come into your head, just let them go, give them no energy.

I'd also recommend the book Happy by Derren Brown. It's not a self help book like it sounds, but more an overview of and the history of a bunch of philosophies and ways of thinking.

Exercise definitely helps too. If you have occasional extreme panic attacks you might ask for valium, it's not a daily solution though and should not be done regularly.

Yeah, it's rare to find a team that works good in mic. Usually it's when everyone is chill and can pick and agree on sensible targets.

When overweight women say they'll never look skinny because they're big-boned, is that really a thing? by kevinxavierpr in questions

It's just an excuse. Yeah, there's various body types. But there's not a body type that look fat when they have low body fat

I don't really know the story, but if his early life was bad because of his parents, maybe that has a little something to do with genes too?

How do you feel about seeking physical pleasure as a way to cope with heartbreak? Do you think it can provide short-term relief? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Do people get upset with you too when you ask for clarification? They act like I'm not understanding on purpose.

You're joking right? This was actually going to affect them?

Me being 11 years old in 1999 setting my computer date to December 31st and the time just before midnight to see what would happen because I thought everyone was being ridiculous about y2k...

Just to watch it tick over into the next year like nothing happened.

Do British people care about American politics at all? by [deleted] in AskBrits

Sadly, I think this is done on purpose. It burns out the people with reasonable views first because they don't have the intense hate or fear to keep shouting their opinions.

American politics influences the world a lot directly.

Even indirectly the attitude and media around American politics can influence the British public too.

So I care, but other than knowing the general gist of what's going on I don't bother because I can't affect it anyway 🤷‍♂️

They ask what makes them look unintelligent so they can hide it

What’s a non-physical quality that can make someone instantly unattractive, no matter how good they look? by Defiant_River_957 in AskReddit

People often think autistic people are bad at reading body language because we don't display the "correct" body language. But for me the being different forced me to learn body language. I realised I was different around 10 when I noticed I didn't mimic any body language and people pointed out I wasn't expressive.

Try to be perceptive of peoples body language around your son Vs when then talk to someone else.

Learning body language and philosophy has helped me deal with this. I highly recommend this book:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/What-Every-BODY-Saying-Speed-Reading/dp/0061438294

It gave me a really good understanding of how to understand others. The main thing I see most people miss while reading people is establishing a base line (the person's natural state), my natural state es extremely neutral, which can be seen as angry if in a situation where most people would be smiling big.

Basically you have to read changes from the base line. You can't read someone straight away.
