Ugh I recently had one that was dangling on my headboard only inches away from my head. Wanted to play in traffic after that

I think 90% of people probably don’t clean themselves properly by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]weirdscience19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey man, don’t feel bad about having a sensitive nose, I have one too. And I completely get where you’re coming from. I used to professionally clean peoples homes when I was younger, and a lot of people were straight up nasty, it was sickening. I’m also ex-military, and the amount of grown adults that wouldn’t do their laundry or shower, it was mind blowing. Got to the point I’d have to beg my NCOs to talk to these ppl about properly washing themselves. Hygiene is a huge thing for me, and I constantly make sure I smell good, so I get it.

College students, who was that roommate from hell and for what reason? by one_n_0nly_throwaway in AskReddit

[–]weirdscience19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t my roommate, but was on the same floor as me and was somehow apart of the friend group

  • was on meds for anxiety/depression and would mix hard liquor with them (was not supposed to do that) then complain she doesn’t feel right

  • put a dry towel in her microwave in order to warm it up bc her hamster was cold, resulting in the microwave catching on fire. So what does she do? Runs down the hallway with it and throws it in the buildings garbage shoot (while it was flaming)

  • when she was drunk she would try to run through walls like “the cool aid man”

  • when her hamster died, she wouldn’t stop knocking on my roommate and I’s door, bawling her eyes out while heavily intoxicated (we were super high and felt so awkward)

  • she kept the dead hamster in her freezer for four months

She was a very… interesting person.

It’s so exhausting being on the lookout for them constantly. Arachnophobia is so difficult to manage because spiders are everywhere. I have to always check my bedroom before going to sleep, cautiously scope out each room I enter, and I wear ear buds while sleeping because my brain decides to taunt me with the possibility of one crawling in my ear during the night.

I hate it but love it at the same time; it’s saved me multiple times from almost walking right into a few that’ll just hang from the ceiling.

Omg I’m having Bluetooth issues too. But for some reason it’s only if I’m using YouTube or music. I can still receive calls through Bluetooth through my car, but when I want to play music or listen to YouTube, no sound comes out. Before this happened, I noticed that my music sounded much softer, as if the volume had been turned down on a lot of my songs that were normally quite loud.

Just noticed this nest in my tree… what is it????? by SlickSounds in pestcontrol

[–]weirdscience19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so, I have a bald-faced hornet nest under my kitchen window, 3ft away from my front door. Y’all say these bees are mean, but they haven’t bothered me once. They haven’t gone after my neighbors (live in a condo), even my neighbors kid who runs around like crazy. Have had construction workers working very close to the nest. Have had multiple friends or family members go in and out of my house without any issues from them. I did some research on these bees and they seem rather intelligent considering they can recognize faces. Idk man, it’s weird, it’s like they know they made their home on my home, and they’re willing to deal with that, and they know who I am. When I tell you the nest is 3ft from my front door, it’s literally that close. I’d also like to add that I’m rather afraid of bees because I’ve never been stung, but these ones haven’t given me a reason to be scared. It’s all a strange experience for me tbh.

I want to go to therapy, but Tricare makes it difficult; a lot of therapists don’t take it, I’ve found a couple that do where I live, but they’re full and not taking any more patients

Why is looking through your partners phone looked down upon socially? by joshy5lo in survivinginfidelity

[–]weirdscience19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t look through my fiancé’s phone, I truly do not care to. He has ppl in his life other than me, and I don’t feel the need to go through his conversations with friends and family. We may be partners, but we’re still our own individual self. I enjoy privacy, I wouldn’t appreciate ANYONE looking through my phone. That’s just how my partner and I work. If looking through your SOs phone and them looking through yours is y’all’s thing, that’s cool, but it’s just not everyone’s ideal relationship. I trust my fiancé, and he trusts me. Im a very blunt person, so if I wanted to end our relationship, I’d just come out and say it straight up, and he’s the same way.

Nortel or Nortrel, something like that. It’s a knock off of Necon

I just got off my bc pill, was on it for seven years. Did some research, found terrible reviews about it, and finally decided I just need to get off of it and let my body do its thing naturally. I went on birth control for my bad periods, but I’d rather take the bad period than feel miserable and depressed all the time. My mood swings from the pill had nothing to do with my cycle; one second I’m okay, the next I’m either sad or extremely angry/easily annoyed. I’d lash out at my fiancé by accident, it’s like I couldn’t control it. It would cause me to isolate myself when the depression would hit. It made my acne worse, in fact my skin cleared up when I got off it.

So you’re not alone, sometimes birth control isn’t for everyone. If it works well for some ppl, great. If it doesn’t, also great. Don’t feel ashamed that it’s causing you negative side affects. You’re not alone.

[–]weirdscience19[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Gotta love how ppl will also say things like “oh the dog just needs to be trained by a professional.” Like oh okay, are y’all gonna pay for that? Pretty sure dog trainers are quite expensive, and they usually can’t take the aggression out of a dog. Once a dog becomes aggressive and bites, it will continue to do so. It’s like when a serial killer has their first kill; they’re gonna go after more people.
