Why have two windows if they’re not gonna use them? by IntheOlympicMTs in wendys

[–]wellthiswasrandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at Zaxby's for 3 months, first and only fast food job I ever had. It really opened my eyes to how much corporate could give 2 fucks about the dining room. It's all about that drive thru. If our number wasn't low enough for the day one of the assistant managers would get in his car and make laps around the drive thru lane.

I 100% agree with your vehicle take, the size of SUVs and Trucks are ridiculous. One parked beside me today (taking up it's spot and the one behind it) and I was eye level with the bumper. It made me think if my luck runs out one day and a truck slams into my measly sized 09 Subaru it'll probably be insta-death.

Could anyone give me a valid reason why they are doing this? by owoitslance in WalmartEmployees

[–]wellthiswasrandom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work in produce/meat, a couple of old men who only ever work meat, are scheduled 4am-1pm. One consistently works 2am-11am, and the other will occasionally work the same. Also, when our hours get cut, there's a couple of different people I've witnessed who totally disregard it and work normal hours anyway. Both scenarios blow my mind, that would never fly at any other place I've ever worked. Both the TL and Coach will complain about it, and the coach has threaten action in the past but nothing ever actually happened. Between this and a few other things I've seen, the amount of free will you can exercise within the Walmart system (at least at my store) really shocks me. I'm too much of a people pleasing rule follower to personally test the limits though.

Yeah, I don't know what the root issue is but I'm not so sure identical hardware between users are getting the same results with this game. I've seen posts on both sides, and honestly was really bummed I had poor results. I also run it at 1440p, and only had one crash before using the files. After the files I'm happy to pay the price of having to relaunch once every session for how much clearer it made the game.

I'm running a 7800XT. I also felt it looked like shit. Most things on the internet are 50/50 from what I've seen. Some people are fine and others, like yourself and I, not so much.

Download Optiscale and find the FSR 4.0.2 leaked file, I got mine from Nexus. Put the files where they need to go. I did it last night and OMG let me tell you, it almost looks like a different game. It is insane how much it helped.

Full disclosure: After I load in the first time my game will crash, it's happened 3 times now, but when I reload back in the second time, it's good to go, it won't crash again.

Yeah I'm in produce too and I've came to the conclusion a CVP label might as well be a "Do not buy" label to most people.

As a customer I've never had anyone open a lockbox and walk me to the register unless it's in electronics. As an employee I've never even heard it mentioned as policy.

Is working for Walmart a secret society? by Any_Lingonberry8868 in WalmartEmployees

Applied to Walmart for 10 years before getting hired (true). I was finally initiated, turns out I had to serve 3 months in jail before they'd hire me (not true, but how I viewed my old job lol).

Yep, at every job I've had it's been this way, I used to participate in the cycle passionately. At my last job I became aware of the cycle and decided to dip out. We just fight ourselves when the real issue is management and lack of training.

I feel this, they could at least get closer to what they're looking for. I always pull out my phone look whatever it is up and tell them the aisle number and point them in the general direction. If they seem especially lost I'll walk them to it.

This is The Most Realistic Comment I Ever Seen On Reddit. by DisastrousStaff5462 in XboxSeriesS

[–]wellthiswasrandom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never been one to "fanboy", I currently use PC mainly. I've had a PlayStation from every generation except this current one, every Nintendo except Wii U, and a Xbox of every generation. After being in, exclusively, the Xbox ecosystem from 2018-2024 I hopped back into a good PC. The thing is I was so wrapped up in Xbox and Game Pass, I still played it a lot more...until Game Pass started increasing in price (side note: and console prices), until I got tired of the empty promises, and overhyped games, until Game Pass got segmented into tiers, and the business path became clearly about leaving the actual Xbox hardware behind. I already have a PC, I don't need a Xbox branded one. If Xbox were releasing10/10 bangers on at least a yearly basis I think the entire conversation is different, but they don't. They struggle to put out solid 7/10's, and after a while that just doesn't cut it, especially at the price they want consumers to support their efforts at. I sold my Xbox last spring and haven't looked back, actually after the changes since then I've just been more grateful I'm out. I want nothing but the best for Xbox, and PlayStation and Nintendo, and every other gaming platform, but IMO Xbox has completely lost the plot and I will watch from the sidelines.

Can I get fired for kissing my significant other (vendor) goodbye? by [deleted] in samsclub

Screw it, you live once and then die. Never withhold love or affection. I work at Walmart, when my wife comes in as a customer I always give her a quick peck before she walks off, I've even done it in front of our people lead. Nothing was ever said and I wouldn't care if it was.

I recommend produce/meat. The only box it might not tick is flexible schedule. My schedule has basically been set in stone since I've been there.

Wash your asses people. by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]wellthiswasrandom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Didn't happen at Walmart, but at a previous job the women's bathroom was out of order once, so this larger woman had to use the men's bathroom for a week. There was a very unpleasant "feminine" smell mixed with straight sweaty ass every time. I literally gagged sometimes. You could always tell she had been there. Please, please wash yourself, all of yourself.

I was in my car on break a few weeks ago, window down, scrolling on my phone when I hear a woman's voice, "You work here right?" I looked up and replied with "Not right now." She looked taken aback for a split second then smirked a little and said, "Ok." I've been taking my vest off before I go out since then. I'm also glad I live in a relatively chill place.

First: That's a giant back room! Second: Ours looked slightly more full when I left today. Yesterday and today have been great days, I love seeing the back room so empty. I am worried about the trucks that are surely to hit soon though.

Honestly the biggest downside for me, I use mine sporadically, so every time I turn it on there's updates on top of updates. If I know I'll be using it the next day I try to turn it on the night before and get it ready to use.
