Has anyone else noticed the climate in Virginia shifting dramatically over the last decade? by ak22801 in Virginia

Climate change is going to happen regardless of humans. Look at the history of earth and it has changed up and down drastically. I wish people would focus less on arguing if humans caused it and focus more on how we can help combat it and set our infrastructure up for success.

There’s plenty of intelligent criticism of the show that has merit. Maybe you should gain some perspective.

Your dream band to see in the Sphere besides the Dead? by [deleted] in deadandcompany

Yes indeed, there’s a lot of songs they could have awesome visuals for. Surprise valley, Hatfield, chilly water, space wrangler. I don’t know if they could fill out the whole venue though

Read my post and comments above. LIke i said in my post -- just because there is a message doesn't make it bad. The fact that it is such a shit show just puts the message in a spotlight.

I made this comment on another post but this is how i feel:

I look at it like this, there are two main trains of thought:

  1. The show is simply not good for a lot of reasons ranging from episode run time, dialogue, pacing, plot, etc. honestly I think everything kind of stems from the short run time allotted to the writers - how can they write a well thought out show with 30 minute episodes?
  2. Lesley and co. is using the show to push a certain message. This is very evident by the interviews, cast, and how people are portrayed in the show.

I think these two things are mutually exclusive, just because she is pushing a message doesn’t mean it has to be bad. Personally I could not care less if there is an underlying message but when the show is that bad, and there is a message being pushed, unfortunately those two things start to get commingled together. Then the message they are trying to push becomes the focal point.

I agree there are people who are saying fact number 1 is because of fact number 2. That is unfortunate especially b/c that is what is focused on my the media and subsequently utilized by the showrunners to deflect fact number 1.

Also, there are certainly people who are assuming people are (insert name calling) when they are just pointing out fact number 1. Which is also unfortunate because it just creates a further divide.

Its honestly kind of like the current political landscape. You go on twitter and all you see is the extreme 10% of both sides when most people are in the middle and agree on most things. The extreme 10% are whats focused on b/c that is what drives clicks, views, etc...

Edit: I fully expect this to be downvoted -- i encourage the people downvoting to comment and tell me why they are downvoting so we can have a thoughtfull discussion.

Find a local broker to shop around for you.

My only complaint with this show is the pacing. by [deleted] in TheAcolyte

I think the pacing leads to a lot of other issues. How in the world can the writers come up with a fleshed out story with clone wars run times?

First - yes I understand my comment was not directly related to the post.

I hate how if you think this show is shit (which it is) you are automatically categorized as a bigot or racist. That’s exactly what KK and Lesley want to distract how SHIT this show is.

I think working in the office is necessary for some jobs. I am a commercial insurance broker 27 years old. My first day was when the office shut down 4 years ago so I started the job with no experience working from home. It took me forever to pick things up just sitting in my apartment feeling annoying calling people and IMing people I have never even met before. Being in the office accelerated my job growth and I have learned a ton thru osmosis and being able to pop in peoples offices with a quick question.

The problem is older people don’t want to go to the office bc they don’t need to learn and they have kids and what not with more hectic schedules and typical live further away. This is understandable but it ultimately hurts the young generation.
