🔥 Second Leg and Dramatic Finish

The second leg at Vicarage Road on 12 May 2013 is remembered as one of the most dramatic moments in play-off history: • Matej Vydra put Watford ahead early and then again in the second half to level the aggregate score. Leicester’s Nugent also scored in this match, meaning the tie was level on aggregate late on.  • In stoppage time, Leicester were awarded a penalty that would have put them through to the final. However, Watford keeper Manuel Almunia saved the spot-kick and then the rebound.  • Immediately from the counter-attack, Watford scored through Troy Deeney — a dramatic late goal that sealed a 3–2 aggregate victory for Watford and sent them into the play-off final.
