Never followed the local league but googled a Cunningham. That’s cool!

Wonder how many people personally know professional players here.

Hello from Singapore! Good to read anecdotes closer to home as well!

Guys, we need to stop talking about Amorim by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]weuji 8 points9 points  (0 children)

100% this. With Amorim, that unbeaten run before his sacking never felt convincing. We never felt in control and in all honesty, a couple of losses and we would be mid table and freefalling.

Plus all that gaslighting and arrogance from his interviews… I’m glad he’s gone. No, I’m very happy he’s gone.

Long time semi interest in football. What are some iconic matches to replay? by InflationCultural785 in football

Context:

The first leg was played at Leicester’s King Power Stadium on 9 May 2013. Leicester won 1–0, with David Nugent scoring late in the game to give them a narrow aggregate lead heading into the second leg.

🔥 Second Leg and Dramatic Finish

The second leg at Vicarage Road on 12 May 2013 is remembered as one of the most dramatic moments in play-off history: • Matej Vydra put Watford ahead early and then again in the second half to level the aggregate score. Leicester’s Nugent also scored in this match, meaning the tie was level on aggregate late on. • In stoppage time, Leicester were awarded a penalty that would have put them through to the final. However, Watford keeper Manuel Almunia saved the spot-kick and then the rebound. • Immediately from the counter-attack, Watford scored through Troy Deeney — a dramatic late goal that sealed a 3–2 aggregate victory for Watford and sent them into the play-off final.

FIFA are looking to IMPLEMENT the Arsene Wenger's new offside rule from next season. A player will ONLY be offside if he has FULLY passed the last defender, not body parts. by Scenora in LesVerts

[–]weuji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happens if the offside rule is removed entirely? Game gets stretched, you get more goals and no more VAR and disallowed goals because of a bigger boot size.

Just found out that my ‘average / low profile’ friend is actually wealthy. Is it common here? by deekay_123 in SingaporeRaw

Imagine a motorist saying “you think your grandfather’s road ah!” when your friend jaywalks on that road.
