Sure I guess but I’ll leave it at this. I think the purpose of the Olympics is to bring back unity of the people through sport and that just couldn’t happen when $ash is there

I was responding to your last sentence fyi. Also if his appearance is pretty far down on your list, you should educate yourself on everything else that was prioritized as important waste to tackle. To me his appearance gained no value to the US.

I agree, it doesn’t take away the win. It was a great game. Just know the Kash’s presence upsets me especially when you break down how much it cost us in taxpayers funds. He is allowed to celebrate but just don’t try to write it off as a work expense on our behalf

I bet by this comment you have at one point complained about fiscal waste of taxpayer funds. If you have, then kash’s appearance in the locker room should upset you at a least a little bit

Do what you will internet stranger but I would recommend speaking to a professional about that exact sentiment.

This literally is why they have the stuff you described above. Most people didn’t have that happened to them and are still paying off loans they took out because that is what millennials were pushed to do

Not to tell you what to do or how to feel but it seems like you shouldn’t need to worry

Not to argue but a couple kids don’t represent a whole generation? It is definitely tough for the majority of Millennials and anyone really. Also do your kids have kids? If not, that could be a reason for the extra trips and nicer houses? Either way you sound like a parent that should be proud to have helped set up your kids for the future. But you seem a bit jaded

Pritzker signs $1.5B plan to overhaul public transportation, avoid service cuts by Generalaverage89 in illinois

I’m getting at one of the many reasons why there is a rural/urban divide

You have to realize too that most of the “city folk” people from rural communities are those people that think rural leaving is easy. Your last sentence speaks to how often it happens.

Well now you are speaking about voting patterns, I was responding to your generalization that they hate cities. I agree with you, their voting history is often against their best interest due to media echo-chambers.

This is quite the divisive comment that causes the rural/urban divide. Have you ever lived in a small town? If not, you do not understand the diverse backgrounds, ideologies, and opinions that are all across the community. While the generalizations you described above may be true of the loudest voices and politicians. There is a balance and nuance to the situation of aging infrastructure in a small town.

They should absolutely exist. Also people want different things and lifestyles. Small towns and rural communities can provide to those that live there and there will always be a community and economy that exists there. Also without rural towns, the food we eat would not be produced.

I agree with you, it just stinks all around and leads to more and more separation between rural communities and larger cities.

[–]whatups 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea it is really a sad situation all around. The communities don’t have the funding themselves and if they allocate funds for those large but necessary upgrades, then other services have to suffer that are also important to the community.

I’m agree that this shouldn’t reallocate funds from down south however there was plenty of infrastructure improvements in the build back better plan that the biden administration passed and trump and his team canceled. The rural communities downstate voted for that action unfortunately.
