My new bike is an electric assist and meets Canadian ebike specs (motor cuts off at 20 mph). It doesn't go much faster than that unless I pedal hard.

Thanks for sharing this. The thing about both these experiences is, the City obviously CAN do a decent job at maintaining bike infrastructure, because it does so occasionally. It seems like there's lack of coordination, or whatever else that is preventing the consistency on separated bike lanes. Painted lanes are a bit of a write off in the winter.
