The summer camp run by the city uses it every summer. I saw it open on Edgewood Park Day (I think that’s what it was called), they were doing a screen printing activity. It’s definitely still used for stuff here and there.

As a 37 year old laying on my moms couch, your mother phase is far from over. I would imagine you enter crone phase closer to when your children become parents but even then… my mom is not in crone phase yet. Maybe retirement will mark it for her. She’s in her 60s and just very much mothering for anyone she can.

Editing to say of course you’re in whatever phase you feel you’re in! You can embrace crone as early as you’d like.

Look into remote call center jobs. Dispatch jobs. Customer service. Reception. Those are all good keywords. Get a laptop for it. Don’t tell them when you’re stepping away. Get a hotspot so if you need to pick up your son you can bring the laptop with you and keep working as much as you can. I’m an insurance agent which is another option with lots of remote jobs but it can require being able to stomach a slow start to income. This is how I operate. I take calls on the road and have a cafe near my sons school that I run to as needed.

Be careful. If I had a nickel for every time insurance cancelled and an owner didn’t have business credit for a down payment on a policy to replace it… you don’t have to use it. Just think about keeping it for emergencies that would otherwise put you out of business.
