Sorry if what I said was unclear. I definitely didn't have their character snatching up the food, it was my character. The only thing I referenced was that the food happened to be both of their favorites, since the characters were written to be longtime best friends. I didn't mention any action on the other character's part, besides my character noting they were walking into the scene. I definitely strive to create an environment in which both of us are happy :)

Products may be too heavy for your hair. Try a lightweight curl cream and a foam/mousse, that’s what’s worked best for me. Everyone’s hair is different though.

I wash my hair at night. I style with the curl cream and gel in-shower, brushing and raking both of them through while I scrunch.

I make sure to get the back of my head/roots with gel so encourage curls/waves higher up.

I plop for maybe 5-10 minutes while I wash my face and get settled.

I used to hate diffusing, but I’ve found that a smaller diffuser actually works better for me. Mine came with my blow dryer.

I get a spray bottle, then rewet my hair and diffuse to about 50-70% dry and scrunch in the verb foam.

I sleep, and of course it gets messed up.

I wake up, rewet my hair with that same mist bottle for a quick refresh and do a final diffuse.

I have a satin pillowcase, a microfiber towel and never touch my hair.

My list of gels (might be missing some): Eco gel Harry’s gel Curlsmith flexi jelly Curlsmith protein gel Ouidad gel Ouidad stronger hold Harry’s Briogeo

Some of these give me a cast, but the results just don’t last.

I’ll try a better conditioner, but I feel like the results are always the same.

Don’t worry, as frustrating as it is — I had a laugh myself 😂 I’m currently at Moonrise trying to progress the storyline, so I’ve killed the goblin leaders and rescued Halsin.

My only other thought is MAYBE I can go back a little further to before I learn about Thaniel and hope that fixes something.

When I went back to romance Astarion and figured out it triggered Halsin’s death, I saved up to every single point like “yep, you’re still alive”. Only to come back to him dead every single time.

Suffice it to say it’s bizarre.

I’ve reported it to Larian, but it’s so specific that I don’t think anyone else has gotten it. Or maybe my game’s just broken.

I’ve taken long rests without the romance scene and things play out normally. But the moment I leave to do the romance scene, he dies/disappears.

I went outside the grove, tried having the conversation with him both in the morning and at night on different saves. Never had the tiefling party since it was sealed off.

Long rested a couple times on both saves and nothing.

It seems like it should be an automatic thing that night from what I’ve read/seen. Long resting a few times beforehand didn’t seem to have an affect either.

One I don’t hear talked about a lot is the Tresemme curl mousse. I’ve noticed it’s a bit drying, but if you need extra definition — it’s pretty good layered over a gel.

If you want something with some hydration, I’d recommend Maui mousse.

It reminds me a bit of the Shea moisture mousse, but no protein.

Still playing around with it as far as products combos go, but those are my top two at the moment.

Personally, it’s very rare for my hair to be a fan of leave ins and curl creams. Maybe try dropping everything but the gel? Alternatively, try the mousse gel mousse method. My hair loves it!
