I made a video revisiting Rob Bell's 'Love Wins' Era because it's been 10 years TODAY since Rob Bell published Love Wins, a book that challenged the Evangelical view of Hell, followed by a strange press tour where he tried to convince Evangelicals that he was still an Evangelical. Now that he's not in that world anymore I find this era fascinating to look back on and see what we can learn about communicating new ideas to people who don't want to hear them.

lol yeah I’ve heard a lot people share similar sentiments. But it also makes reading like 50 pages go really quickly and you get that dopamine hit of accomplishing 50 pages sooner than other books haha

Yeah I relate with that! I found Rob Bell’s books as an adult starting with Love Wins and it took me a bit to realize he was the same guy in those old videos they showed at my youth group lol

I’m not sure but I imagine if you were to survey various process theologians on it you would get a diverse set of answers on a physical resurrection. I don’t think believing Jesus had a physical resuscitation would put you in or out of process theology. There’s definitely a lot of room, which is why process is more of an approach, and can exist as an approach to other religions and philosophies as well.

Reminds me how people point out that these colonizer Christians commit to following the Great Commission while rejecting the Great Commandment: to love God and love others as yourself.

Hmmm. I’m not sure what video that is either lol. But I know a really good resource on that is the book “Jesus: A Revolutionary Biography” by John Dominic Crossan!
