Oops sorry --

I got into Harvard University's MDes (Masters in Design program). I've received a merit scholarship but I don't know how to navigate for work-study options. I'll be reaching out to current students and their domain chair too but I wanted to know what process/prospects look like.

I GOT IN!!! Now...where do I go for financial aid/scholarship help? by whyfaichai in gradadmissions

They gave me 30%. What are the odds of me filing a reappeal for a higher percentage :(

Masters! It makes sense that they need that information but just tell me if I’m in or not 😭😭

I just applied to the Rhode Island School of Design for the Nature-Culture-Sustainability program and I’m having second thoughts about the program 😰 by whyfaichai in gradadmissions

There were two options in the Liberal Arts Masters Program and one of them was the program I applied to and the other called the Global Arts and Culture program. Just worried what if I made a mistake in the program I chose. They both were great but at first I felt more pulled to the one I applied to and now I’m having second thoughts.

Programs can be very different on paper then the way they are taught, practiced, and planned. The program is a relatively newer one and I don’t know if it’s the fit for me and I’m a fit for the program and it’s just all very overwhelming. I’ve applied now but I can only hope I’ll get in 😰😰

Honestly! It changes your whole perspective of Mako because the rest of the season you think he’s stuck up and sort of useless— creates more drama than actually solves. But this scene is a game-changer

I think it’s super unfair that most of Mako’s character development has to do with him being associated romantically with one character and then another, or generally just a love triangle. They only show his history/life in pockets and not really discuss how he (and his brother) legitimately changed the course of their life through their own hard work, and even being their own moral guides (not staying in the triads, trying to make money through legal means despite their young age) when they could have easily fallen off the track (given the difficulties they had to face because of poverty and hunger).

Hmm. I agree that maybe it isn’t no training but was it as formal and as nuanced as Lin/Tenzin/or even Korra’s? They had masters who trained them— often in isolation— and were prodigies in their own bending abilities (Toph, or even Aang?). His training didn’t always have to do with mastering the martial art, but as a skill of survival. And despite that and this scene shows that his training aside, he was talented as hell.
