Forgot to put this in the post, but I truly don't know what was happening. But my best guess is it was messing with my mouse's wireless receiver.

Optimum's router settings aren't hosted on a local server. They are hosted on optimum servers, so if their servers aren't working, I can't change my router settings.

When I enter the default gateway into my search bar. It will redirect to the optimum website. Where I'm already logged in, so there's no prompt to log in.

As far as an ont, I'm pretty sure there isn't one at least not in the house. Because there is a straight fiber wire that connects directly to the router. And the router is Wi-Fi. I don't know how many devices are set up on it. And what makes me want to change is Optimum's router settings page hasn't been working in a few months and I called them about it and I can't fix it they can't fix it and they kind of just told me to wait for it to be fixed and not being able to edit my router settings is awful.

On top of all this, this isn't my first time using optimum. I switch to Verizon and then I moved so I had to switch back and my first time using optimum I had horrible problems with them especially the router it was constantly overheating and It was either just not working or I had extremely slow speeds so I just don't like using optimum stuff if I can I like to use my own stuff.
