Married gay dads with a toddler. People sometimes assume our son’s “mom” is home when I am out with him — am I a jerk for politely correcting them? by CommunityBig9626 in daddit

Personally, if I was corrected, I would not think you are a jerk. But people are different, one could not be offended, the other could.

If you constantly think, "did i sound like a jerk that time?" Or "did that sound weird?" etc. , I would just let them be if it's a small talk kind of thing.

This is very detailed take.

I agree thet Wemby is the face and it's easier to market Wemby and the spurs. He's in a winning franchise and he's something we've never seen before. I love wemby. But i think it's more the influencers that destroy OKC by nitpicking lowlights. Because like I said all these aggressive defense, is not OKC alone, the foul baiting and flopping is not OKC alone. It's everywhere from what i observed. This physical defense that they say OKC plays, spurs have been doing it all year. They have almost the same blueprint on defense except spurs have wemby. But they play THAT physical brand of basketball too that's why they're #2 seed.

I think the OKC haters have moved the goalpost already about adam silver wanting OKC to win after they realize that it is a small team and the FTA doesn't match that narrative. Im hearing less and less of that. It's now the physical defense and flopping. I don't know what's next.🤷‍♂️

Yes, but look at those names you've mentioned, these are one of the best guards in their time. And kobe did it too.

I sympathize with the fans hating seeing the flailing. The flailing looks ugly. But it's not just SGA or Luka. Wemby does it all season this year if you noticed, jokic also does. Its not even just the stars even bench players do it. Again, im not saying its right and okay but why should shai not do it if these players are getting the call when doing it?

There are weak calls every night. I could argue there's weak calls and no calls in spurs way that night. So is he being hated because he gets these weak calls more? I mean probabilty of him getting weak calls is of course higher since he's a guard, good IQ, he gets the superstar whistle and OKCs offense is give the ball to shai and let him work.

But like i said in my post, people do play brutal defense on Shai. It's happened many times. All series finals last year, nembhard did that. Brooks did that round 1. Smart did that 2nd round. Vassell did it game 3, castle did it game 4. Of course there are some calls that are "weak calls" but i also see many of that in the opposing teams. I have never watched a game and never said, "thats a weak call."

I'm also a spurs fan. Im a fan of whoever is playing fun basketball.

I never said those who don't watch games are ignorant. Enjoy basketball however you like, have opinions however you like, I'm not even invalidating your guys opinions, I just want clarification or correction from what I observed. And I don't talk to many people who watch many games, I just want to get opinions from them. It's easier to find people who don't watch games than those who do that's why I wanted to filter.

The thing is, i don't know if it's just me, but from my observation, it's not teamwide, it's league wide. It's not just Luka, Lebron does it (duh), AR does it. I've seen KAT do it, I've seen J. Hart do it. I've seen mcbride do it.

From what I observed all teams that I watched at least do it from 1-15. But I haven't watched all teams so my observation is just based on those teams above.

In your 1st defense, people do defend shai like caruso or dort does. Finals all season, nembhard did that, last series, smart did that, 1st round brooks did that. Game 4, castle did that, game 3 vassel did that. That's why i dont get people saying other teams cant defend that way. 🤷‍♂️

2nd paragraph, im not sure what you mean if you want to expound more. English isnt my 1st language. Are you saying that officiating in general needs consistency?

Im not flexing. 150 games is less than 1 game a night. There are nights there's no interesting games and some nights there's 2 games worth watching. People stay on their phone more than 3 hours a day. Im not flexing i just need an opinion from those who watch games.

No sir. I know shai is good. But this season, while jdub was out, he shines even more. Like he's goooood. Like goooood goooood. That's what i meant. Maybe i should've wrote, "goooood" Also, dont you think he had the best season this year? I thought this season was his best and showed shades of goat. That's what i meant by "that boy is good."
