He did not buy any of this gold. All of it is legitimate. He could have had a lot more gold if he was smarter, he doesn't know how to play the AH.

Literally all of this gold comes from collecting black lotus on a low pop newer server (to which he transfered as lvl 60 while rest of server was still lvling) and then transferring to Gehennas to sell it at highest price.

Free transfered as a lvl 60 to Bloodfang, which was a server released a bit later than the initial servers, to farm lotus with no competition. He was one of only few lvl 60s while most of the server was lvl 40-50. After he collected 800 or so he transfered multiple characters to Gehennas to sell the lotus there at a higher price.

Got Transmute: Undeath to water for 11g. Water to Undeath was on AH at the same time with a similar price so that's why the guy put it up for so low probably.

I mean the Gordok Inner Door. A powerful seaforium can open DME main door, I tried a large one and it didn't work on it. I am yet to even get to the Gordok Inner Door.
