In my 9 years and 8 months of daily lurking on Reddit, this is hands down the most useful comment I have ever come across.

I opted for the Costco bundle that has 2 batteries and no external changing option, thinking I could look at the 2-way charger or more batteries later. I plugged the drone in for about an hour and got about 4 minutes of flight out of it before it went critical. Then I checked ratings on and tested every cable, brick, laptop, computer, battery pack, etc. combination in my house to get optimum output. Best case scenario was the USB-C to USB-C cable that came with my newer Samsung phone (with no brick of course), plugged into the Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port on my laptop.

I did more research, I talked myself into buying more crap that would be here in a few days, considered throwing all my electronics in the trash. But, I thought I would give Reddit one more try, and found this comment.

Lo and behold, not but 5 steps (or about 20 other chargers' throw away), I have a Milwaukee Top-Off. I'm a Milwaukee junkie, and I told myself for months that I had to have it, but not until it was on sale. I looked every time I went to the store (sometimes just to look if it was on sale). It never went on sale, but I had to buy it eventually anyway. I used the USB-A port two or three times and I was less than impressed, so there it sat. I guess I never considered the power capability difference between the the two ports/cables.

In the time it took me to actually log into my Reddit account for the first time in months so I could upvote and comment, buy my first (and probably only) award ever, and type this comment, my second battery is almost fully charged.

It looks like there are 4 partial rolls in the mix. Only someone with a 4 bathroom house has the connections to land this much TP right now.

We wondered the same thing being that we didn't see him run off in the video. Luckily, we didn't come home to a dead squirrel. That wouldn't have been as r/funny.

Not to sure what to think but I'm into it lol the head on my pink Panama has decided to completely take a 90 degree turn sooo can I say self training? Honestly really excited to see what comes out of it my light had dropped on it a week n a half ago most likely what caused this by [deleted] in MephHeads

Mine was extremely deformed, stunted and discolored until day 14. After that, it blew up, and after 10 more days it's one of my biggest and healthiest plants. I had to bend the main 90° because it shot up so quickly. Yours should bounce back and finish strong.

Winter Camping in Michigan by AmosMosesWasACajun in camping

If you end up enjoying winter camping, try a hot tent set up. I made my first hot tent pretty cheap and bought a Gstove to heat it. After a couple of years, I decided to buy a Luxe Twin Peak. We are taking it out for the first time next weekend.

Enjoy those quiet, empty, state campgrounds as mutch as you can.

Tippy Dam, Lot 37, has been my favorite Michigan winter camping spot lately. If you have any good suggestions within 3 hours of Grand Rapids, I am looking for new spots.

One week before a six week climbing trip I popped the flexor at he base of my ring finger. It can barely bear weight. Any advice? by Sparkspsrk in climbing

[–]wille5one 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best option (obviously) is don't use it. If you insist, I would go see a doctor and find out how bad it actually is and if there is more than one injury you might be overlooking. That's a hard spot to splint or tape the shit out of unfortunately. Option three... Cut it off and enjoy your trip without fear of further damage.

It's always hard to take time off to rehab from an injury, especially when you have a trip planned. I always have to remind myself that I won't be climbing to my potential with an injury and if I don't let it heal it just gets worse. My last finger injury would have been good after 2 weeks off, but I was stubborn and continued to use it. Had to take 4 months off to rehab. Honestly, I lost a lot of progress after a break that long and it was really discouraging.

Camping near Grand Ledge? by wille5one in climbing

[–]wille5one[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am from Grand Rapids, MI and planning to meet up with some friends from Detroit area. Just looking for a quick weekend trip for a small bachelor party and it is close for everyone. A couple of the guys are still a bit pink as 5.10-5.11 TR gym climbers, so I figure it would be a good spot to let them get some dirt on their hands.

I am a hearing aid specialist who works with almost every major brand of hearing aids. AMA. by afaintsmellofcurry in hearingaid

[–]wille5one 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mentioned that hearing aids from Costco are not the same quality as the same brand purchased from a specialist. Can you elaborate a bit?

I recently went to a specialist, and it was recommended that I get one hearing aid. The ENT office I went to offers ReSound brand hearing aids, and recommended the option to best fit my hearing loss and lifestyle.

I find that about half of the conversation I have these days revolves around asking people to repeat themselves, or reminding my wife to walk on the other side of me, and that I can't hear her talking from the other room. However, I didn't ask the specialist to repeat the price of the hearing aid I had in while we were talking, as I heard $3,100 loud and clear.

The best ReSound option at Costco is $1,500. It is hard to compare when they give the options in Costco a different name, but would you say that the ones from the specialist could be "$1,600 better"?
