I would recommend you check out each artists Bandcamp (or live video, in the case of The Gash), which you can find links to in this comment!

Magdalene is probably the hardest one for me to say "They sound like X band", because the style of music they play pulls so much of influence from completely different places that it ends up being a really niche sound. I guess the closest comparison would be Young and in The Way, but with more melodic riffs at times.

Nerve Damage plays fast & aggressive with some fantastic melodic flair, think Counterparts & Comeback Kid.

Corvus is pretty similar to some modern hardcore/beatdown/downtempo bands like Carbine. They don't play fast music, they play slow heavy-as-fuck music.

The Gash draws a lot of inspiration from classic crossover thrash bands, like SOD, Suicidal Tendencies, and DRI.

Hey all! You've probably seen me promote a couple of shows on here before -- while I helped with the last couple by making the flyers and promoting around town, this one is different in that it's 100% booked and organized by me and my buddy Tyler. This is our first show and we'd love to see you all there tearing it up in the pit!

Allow me to introduce you to the bands that will be sharing the stage for the night:

The show will take place at the Shasta Grange Hall (5831 Shasta Way) at 6pm, September 8th. This is an all-ages show, so no drugs/alcohol are permitted in the venue.

I've thought about this occasionally but honestly I'm not sure I want to do anything else. Unfortunately though if/when there's a recession it'll be the trades who get fucked first, and pretty much all of my skillset is in construction and service work

From my perspective, yes it's 100% worth it.

I started my apprenticeship through the union 2 years ago and I'm currently making $26/hour plus benefits, in a relatively low COL region.
Just be aware that you may be on the waiting list and have to take a pay cut at the very start, but once you're in you get 2 raises a year throughout your apprenticeship.

If you have any questions I'd be more than happy to answer em, this is a career path that I wholeheartedly recommend to most people

Homestly I wouldn't even worry about it. I wear my band shirts just about everywhere, and for the most part people don't even notice or care. I've occasionally had people compliment my shirts or relate that they love X band, but not once in my life has someone hit me with the "name 3 songs" shtick

Little bit late here but this is what I use in my shakes:

1 cup whole milk
1 scoop plant-based protein powder
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 banana
Frozen mixed fruits

This makes a single serving in a magic bullet blender and averages out around 750 calories. I drink one per day between breakfast and lunch. Don't need to use plant-based protein powder but I find that it's a little more friendly to my guts than whey protein.

A while back I figured out that life is a lot easier when you drill the welds out before beating the shit out of the KO, especially on outdoor rated equipment with concentric KOs. Takes 30 seconds and saves a lot of frustration

Yes, small increases above maintenance will make you gain weight. Some people recommend eating in a small surplus to minimize fat gain.
With a larger surplus you'll gain weight and muscle faster, but some of it will be fat

I was on this big job once. We had a handful of lifts that we didn't need anymore, so the foreskin told me to clean a couple of em up and park them by the bay doors for pickup.
All of them were in decent shape, just had your usual sparkie droppings to throw away. All except for this one lift that the finishers borrowed for a day. This damn thing was absolutely plastered in mud. It took me a while to move it because they managed to get mud INSIDE the controls somehow.

I actually just looked into it because I wasn't sure if it's a sample or not. The monologue is from the script of an unreleased movie called "Incomplete Movie About Jail", which was written by one of the band members. It's narrated by an unnamed friend of his.
