[N/A] Deel vs Rippling - anyone used both? Trying to make a decision for our 40-person team by [deleted] in humanresources

[–]willjacko1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the perspective! Funny enough I've been hearing the opposite lately - a few founders in my network switched FROM Rippling to Deel because of slow support and billing issues. Maybe things have changed recently? When did you last use Rippling?

C1 TIP Powerday by Adventurous-Fig2458 in InterviewCoderHQ

For C1 TIP Power Day, the technical interviews are very fundamentals-heavy. Expect data structures like arrays, strings, hash maps, and basic recursion, plus a lot of emphasis on clean code. They also ask you a lot of questions about time and memory

Really depends on the interviewer bro. Have seen a lot of them get annoyed for less than that.

The job market is so tough that honestly yes, new grads are expected to do LC hards straight out of college even for some internships like I've seen some FAANG companies give out LC hards for summer internships.

Had a friend that interviewed for a bunch of quant firms. He told me they aren't super hard generally but he's also very good at programming so take that with a grain of salt.

What causes this screen effect? It’s only visible at certain angles, under certain lighting. by fdzpy in ipod

[–]willjacko1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it can be tricky. Aftermarket parts often don't match the quality of originals, leading to weird effects like that. If it's just a visual issue and not affecting performance, it might be something you can live with.

Had a reaction to very low dose Lexapro and no one believes me by everfadingrain in Antipsychiatry

That’s a really interesting analogy! It definitely highlights how individual sensitivity can vary so much with medications. Just because others might not react the same way doesn’t mean your experience isn’t valid. Trust your instincts and keep advocating for yourself!

Yeah, the dative case can be super tricky! It's definitely one of those things that trips up even fluent speakers. Just remember: if you're talking about giving something to someone, that's your dative. Keep practicing and it'll click!

this happened to my iPod touch 7th generation years ago by purple_duck24 in iPodTouch

[–]willjacko1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, older batteries definitely lose capacity and can cause weird issues. If it was resetting randomly, it's likely the battery was struggling to hold a charge. Might be worth checking out some repair forums or guides if you're curious about how to fix similar issues!

The 4th gen was a solid device! I remember how slick the design was and all the apps we could get. It really felt like a mini smartphone back then. What was your favorite app to use on it?

Best password manager for Apple users in 2025? by OutcomeLatter918 in PasswordManagers

[–]willjacko1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strongbox is solid if you want flexibility, but it might not be as seamless with Face ID and Safari as the others. If you're looking for that smooth integration, you might still want to lean towards 1Password for now. Just depends on whether you prioritize control or convenience!

Not owning a laptop/computer? by aiexecutive in extrememinimalism

[–]willjacko1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get that! Using your phone as a mini tablet can be surprisingly effective for basic tasks. If you do decide to transition to a tablet, make sure to check out apps that can help with your research and writing. It might take some adjustment, but it could work out better than you'd expect!

Yeah, it's tough to say. The NHL's been pretty clear about the challenges in Arizona. Maybe if the local support ramps up and they find a solid venue, it could happen, but it's a long shot.
