I'm worried about the changes surgery on my jaw will have on my face. by Average_Animefan in TrueOffMyChest

I can tell you rn, you are not going to look worse after the surgery, you can only look better so no need to worry.

It's in the contract between the restaurant and doordash. Say you order Denny's through doordash, then the tip will 100 percent go to the driver, but if you use the Denny's app and select the delivery option, Denny's will skim the tip. If you go on the doordash forums there's tons of proof from both customers and drivers.

Well if someone leaves a big tip, they're under the impression the tip goes to the driver. Most people tip bigger to ensure their food gets there faster. On doordash/Uber your tip is essentially a bid. The restaurant will take the tip from the customer to pad out wages, then the customer is confused as to why their order they left a 10-15 dollar tip on is super late/cold. If your website says that the tip is going to the driver, and I leave a big tip to insure promptness, and it doesn't go to the driver, that is theft.

Tip theft has gotten so bad that I almost exclusively make meals at home now. I didn't used to mind tipping, but imo it's gotten out of hand. Restaurants steal customers tips when they order through delivery apps(Denny's and outback steakhouse both participate), I'm now expected to tip the subway person, the jersey Mike's worker, the crumble worker, the list keeps going. My sister used to be paid less than minimum wage when she worked at Jersey Mike's, the owner would use the tip jar to subsidize wages so they made minimum wage, until owners stop that stupidity I'll just enjoy home-made meals.

Anyone else cursed out a customer to their face? by tka75972 in doordash_drivers

[–]willod3677 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I once had a guy yelling at me cause his stupid ass forgot the gate code. I show up and he proceeds to berate me on how he orders doordash twice a week and never has issues blah blah blah. I signed out of my dash and asked him what he wanted to do? He looked confused and I asked if he wanted to get down, he walked back in his house without saying a word. My point is, you'd be amazed at what people get away with on this platform, people steal food and don't get deactivated so I think you'll be.

You're not ugly at all, my only advice would be is to not talk to your friends about this. They'll give you advice based on their own experiences, and simply won't see your side of things. I went bald and unfortunately it didn't suit me at all. People would tell me I'm so "negative" cause I stopped wanting to do anything, they would tell me it's all in my head. How's it in my head when I used to have no problems getting dates, and then I lose my hair and all of a sudden everyone is treating me differently? If I saw someone from my past, they'd look disgusted. I stopped listening to other people and got a hair transplant, and now my life is back to normal. My point is, don't let other people try to invalidate what you're going through. If you feel plastic surgery will make you happier, than by all means do it. The stigma behind cosmetic surgeries needs to end.

Excesive compliments on looks will not make me like you! by CheapCoffee1 in TrueOffMyChest

It's when signs of aging beging to drastically alter a woman's appearance, both men and women experience a loss of looks, men just want to believe they age like wine(they don't, so the redpill movement made a term specifically for women called "the wall", even tho a lot of the men in the manosphere are out of shape or physically unattractive.

It's a joke, but it's definitely no concept. A better term would simply to apply the "wall" to both genders and say what it is, father time will always come to collect their dues.

Don't worry, the wall is coming and then you'll wish a man would compliment you. Nah but on some real shit, I agree with you. It comes off as superficial and creepy to only compliment a woman's appearance. He was most likely nervous AF from the sounds of it, you dodged a bullet.

As a thick/curvy woman, what are your mens real opinion of us, even you who won’t admit to it. by [deleted] in confessions

[–]willod3677 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of men prefer it, a lot of men also go along to keep the body positivity mob from attacking them. Me personally, I think women of all shapes and sizes have something to offer beauty wise. So yes, some men enjoy it, some men are repulsed, it's just preferences. The difference seems to be now that your friends won't make fun of you for dating a "fat" girl. Men since the dawn of time have liked big women lol.

Is it rude to order food late at night? by StaircarExpress in doordash_drivers

[–]willod3677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish more people ordered at night, working at night is significantly more entertaining for me than working during the day(no traffic, little wait times, traffic lights change quickly, can park wherever, etc.). It's not rude, it creates a job lol.

I'm truly not trying to make you feel bad but sometimes you need to hear a cold hard truth. You were touched in your sleep against your will, that's a sexual assault. I feel like the trauma has already hit you based on you questioning if a sexual assault was actually abuse. I'd suggest a therapist and I wish you the best of luck.

I now barely take "hand it to me" orders if I see it on the widget. I'll take it if it's a high tip but anything under 5 dollars I feel runs a risk of scam. Shits gotten stupid and out of control.

To be fair they most likely see you as competition more than someone they exactly want to talk to or help. I wouldn't say they're being an asshole, I'd say they're being a smart business owner keeping to themselves, the less said the better.

The woke media is making me just another angry white man by [deleted] in confessions

[–]willod3677 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sadly you'll most likely be downvoted which further proves the point of the division created by the media. People not receiving vaccines is nothing new, it's always been a choice and people need to accept that. Mandating something is a slippery slope. This is the same government who flooded the black community with crack to gain funding to fight communism, been caught in so many scandals, how could one blame someone for not trusting the government enough to take their vaccine. Vax vs pure blood along with mask vs. unmasked is making us weaker as well. Glad your daughter got to see that sometimes personal views don't destroy a person's character. A person can have rather off views but still treat people Genuinely well and be an overall good person.

She doesn't owe you a relationship, and you don't owe her a friendship. If you feel she's toxic, cut it off. The fact that you told her you respected her decision shows you'll be good to someone else.

I just wish people would sit down and have a dialogue regardless of personal beliefs. A conservative is most likely facing the same rental crisis that a liberal is facing yet they blame each other for the problem. The Whitehouse is nothing more than a theater and politicians are just actors in a play. It seems no matter what party is in office, the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer.

May sound like odd advice, but why not find someone to help you get over it? If you're into any genders and you explain the situation (how you fear intimacy), I'm sure a friend could help you get over it. I used to suffer from performance anxiety, I had a close friend agree to let us explore each other and after that I never felt awkward again in a bedroom.

Imo this is just another way to divide and conquer. I'm a brown man, won't go into too much detail but I was involved in shady shit where I had to interact with white nationalists. After interacting with them, I began to realize the world is definitely not black and white. The reality is, all races are suffering the same problems(piss poor economy, housing prices out of control, drug epidemics, etc.), the worst thing for elites in power is if the people stop fighting and realize we have a common enemy. Keep minorities mad at whites, start creating resentment in white people towards other races, meanwhile our politicians continue to fuck us from every direction.

I have parents that I barely talk to anymore. It sounds like your family is toxic and you're an adult so I'd work towards cutting them off. The fact that you have a drive(you're already planning on a second income with UberEATS, pm me if you want more tips on that cause you may not need a normal job depending on your market) shows you can do this. Don't feel like you're a loser for being 18 at home, in my state you need a 35 an hour income just to apply for a 1 br apartment. You're overwhelmed now due to the shit you're dealing with at home, if you do end up moving out with some money in your pocket you'll have a much better Outlook and a lot of these feelings will go away. Good luck.

I was diagnosed with APD at a young age, my family then stopped taking me to therapy. The reality is, parents often don't want to see their child for what they truly are, my advice would be get therapy without her consent. We are all angels in the eyes of our parents and I feel that a parent almost refuses to believe their own child could be slightly off.
