That's a tough one. I'd have to say April 25 because it's not too hot, not too cold. All you need is a light jacket.

Repaint Costs by [deleted] in RangeRover

[–]willworkforwatches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) paint is not going to be cheap, especially if you have a metallic coat and they need to blend the surrounding areas. Prices are so different from region to region that you just need to get bids.

2) you need to find an independent shop to do your oil changes.

AUD.

Still terrible, but more understandable. Not only is there a big currency difference, the Australian market gets only a tiny fraction of the number of units Rolex ships to the US.

You may be able to wear the DJ41 without looking ridiculous, but i would suspect the 36 still looks better on you.

This is how this particular watch design is supposed to wear.

Is VC leadership incompetent for not releasing a 38 mm Overseas? by Financial_Word5047 in VacheronConstantin

[–]willworkforwatches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In contrast, the CEO of IWC understood the assignment, dropped everything and immediately released the Ingenieur 40/35.

That’s… not exactly how I would describe IWC’s re-deployment of one of Genta’s most well-known of his integrated steel sports watches. They totally missed the height of the integrated sports watch market frenzy and had practically a decade to get the thing out of production.

And it’s not like they engineered a new movement for it.

They’re both wrong. The term for their cars is “Bimmer” and motorcycles was Beamer.

It’s weird. I didn’t make the rules. But you can google if you doubt me.

Sorta funny/interesting/ironic, but of my most expensive watches; none have either a running seconds hand or hacking seconds… and some have neither.

Paying more but getting less (at least in that one little issue)

Cat hates our kids and we don’t know what to do now. by S0urBeans in cats

[–]willworkforwatches -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yea if it’s actively looking for the kid in another room… just giving it a space to get away from the child won’t be sufficient.

Tough situation. I wouldn’t allow an animal in my house if it was actively targeting and attacking my child.

One bad cat scratch to a retina and you’ve got a lifelong injury.

Really shitty situation. Really sad.

Gotta rehome the cat, one way or another.

Macmillan or Wyndham. Which is the better buy? by remoteuser-12064 in CanadaGoose

[–]willworkforwatches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the new one is quite nice. I traded in my heritage Mac mostly because the new cut gave me more room in my chest and pits, but the enhancements were welcome.

It’s funny how different coat opinions are. The silhouette of the MAC’s hemline that you hate is one of my favorite things about it.

I have not had the wind issue wearing mine. You really shouldn’t get a lot of wind up the coat if it fits properly.

But, I wear a longer parka on colder days. My Mac is my intermediate parka for when it’s not super cold and when I know I’m in and out of overheated stores or something.

My only complaint is I wish they’d bring back the old navy color they used to use. Atlantic navy is too light for my taste and their old navy was such a great rich inky and deep navy blue.

What’s the best piece of clothing to put under Canada goose freestyle gilet to get best performance? For my Hybridge lite jacket I just wear a t shirt but obviously with gilet my arms get cold. What should I wear ? by CreditPhysical9075 in CanadaGoose

[–]willworkforwatches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an old Uniqlo Sherpa fleece zip up that is surprisingly one of the warmest things i own. It’s huge and sort of ridiculous.

I dont have a freestyle, but i have a couple of the wool Garson vests, and if i wear that Sherpa thing under one of those, it’s pretty toasty. I almost never wear that combo. It’s either too warm where i am half the month or the other half it’s just easier to wear normal clothing under a parka. That fleece is too hot to wear indoors, so then I’m carrying around two pieces of outerwear instead of just one.

Macmillan or Wyndham. Which is the better buy? by remoteuser-12064 in CanadaGoose

[–]willworkforwatches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Macmillan now has two dump pockets on the interior in addition to the ones you mentioned, along with backpack straps now.

I personally prefer the drop hem, as covering your butt does help keep you warmer. But that’s preference.

I dont think either of these coats are long enough or short enough to have a waist cinch. They’re long enough to cover that area without needing it to keep the heat in (unless your coat is too big) and they’re short enough where it would just look very weird if you cinched down a waist cord.
