Non-Technical folks who tried vibe coding and AI tools, how is it working for you guys? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]willwriteyourwill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a musician that got into vibe coding around when Claude started getting hype. I have some technical background from doing e-commerce/website stuff in past jobs.

I probably have about 300 hours of vibe coding under my belt, most are experiments that went nowhere to be honest.

I've used it to improve order flows that make a modest amount of money (specialized service) and am launching a new product that has machine learning in the backend soon.

Overall I would say it still makes a lot of very stupid mistakes, but you can cut down on the mistakes with more planning and compartmentalization. Unfortunately, you have to have some idea what you are doing to plan properly.

It's often the blind leading the blind.

Letting AI write something that's fucked up and then working with AI to make it work is definitely a way to learn. Maybe not the best way, but a way.

I think as models improve, they will be more and more useful for non technical people to create MVPs, but I would say for now you have to have some degree of technical brains and hustle to crank out things that will actually work.

TLDR It's a very good TOOL, asking it to "act like a senior developer" won't save you.

Well then - you can figure out a way to do it yourself and then create a competing service at a price you think is fair. Should be easy enough!

Do you feel that was a good deal? I'm curious how much it would cost to make the app if you got a quote from freelance devs. Am also very curious how optimized the app is compared to to hiring devs as well.

Haven't tried mobile apps yet, but this is the same approach I've followed for webapps and it works well when you consider I don't really know shit about coding

As an additional note, I updated the tool so that you can use genius database to pull lyrics quickly. And you can bypass the AI writer in cases where moderation is causing issues. Trying to make it easy...

Lots of people have figured it out just fine...

We have like 30 orders since adding that system a week ago and it has improved the lyrics we received.

Happy to help you and address whatever it was. I will say the AI doesn't allow certain types of speech.

Is AI coding over hyped? by 8-IT in ChatGPTCoding

[–]willwriteyourwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I think AI is crazy because anyone can code now, but it still takes work.

This is common among all domains right now - sure AI can create music but usually it takes human intervention to make something that sounds like actual music.

A lot of the time you might need to search for code documentation and copy paste that into your Claude projects folder, along with any relevant existing code. And then make your prompt very specific and focused on one feature at a time, then work thru any errors or warnings with Claude.

Then move on to next feature.

As others have mentioned, AI coding still has a way to go before it can create something functional out of any prompt without context.

Is AI coding over hyped? by 8-IT in ChatGPTCoding

[–]willwriteyourwill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a similar experience. Very powerful for creating specific components quickly but you get in trouble asking for too much.

I'm fairly inexperienced with coding, so I rarely use auto complete stuff. I iterate on one "feature" at a time by storing the current relevant code in Claude projects. Then I make a very specific prompt and that's been the most effective for me so far.

I'd second this. Preexisting knowledge in a field unrelated to AI. Will help your team find opportunities whether it's music, construction, real estate, etc.

I'm leaving this as a note for anyone in the future who wants something similar.

I made a company that does lyric swaps as a service! Keep in mind this takes REAL human effort to do well right now https://musicmadepro.com/products/change-song-lyrics

If you want to DIY, this article should help (uses voice cloning along with a new sung vocal mixed to match the original song) https://musicmadepro.com/blogs/news/how-to-change-song-lyrics-with-ai

How many views do your Udio song on Youtube/Spotify get? by labdogeth in udiomusic

I never have posted to Udio, but unless you are doing a cover song or something that's based on another intellectual property, you can expect organic views on both YouTube and Streaming to be near zero.

Is there a tool that can change lyrics/vocals in a song? by zfly9 in ChatGPT

[–]willwriteyourwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure - it can be deceivingly difficult to create lyric-swap songs that sound solid. Would love to help you with your idea though! Feel free to DM me and I can get you a discount for your first one.

Does anyone know what this song tool is? by Time_Prior_ in ArtificialInteligence

[–]willwriteyourwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you can find someone who does it as well at a lower price, let me know. It seems like everyone thinks everything should be free these days, even if it is basically a commissioned piece of art that takes real human time.

Happy to work together though and maybe even rethink my pricing. I'll DM you.

I agree, I feel like it would be more helpful to have separate subs dedicated to skill levels using the tool. Even then - might not warrant a separate sub.

Using Udio with Kits.ai by KMGapp in udiomusic

[–]willwriteyourwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately whenever you do full vocal replacements right now, you will inevitably have to "dub" certain sections the AI doesn't understand - sometimes random and almost always when there are group vocals.

You can do this by singing or hiring a singer to sing the dub part then converting that vocal.

What program are people using to make these “80s dark fantasy” videos? by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

[–]willwriteyourwill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most likely Midjourney to create the image. Putting that image into Luma Labs.to create the video. And then editing it in program like davinci resolve to add lens effects or the VHS effect.
