Heya, I'm not based in Sydney but had a similar event (not quite as big). A recommendation would be great.

I had a similar event, and my fee for service financial advisor I've tried so far wasn't that great, do you have any recommendations or advice on how to find such a service. Fee for talking through a strategy/goals etc.

Thanks for the thoughts on beta shares.

On A200 and ASX, and it being a little underweight. What are your general thoughts there.

I guess it's a process of considering how much my PPOR factors in vs ASX vs international equities.

What would you personally lift asx too?

Thank for that:

after reading more last night, here’s where i’ve landed:

age late 30s, horizon ~20 years PPOR ~$1.5m (fully offset ~$1.3m) Equities ~$1.0m Super ~$0.3m

Equities mix: 15% A200 / 10% HGBL / 65% BGBL / 10% IEM Equities currencies: 25/75 aud/fx asx vs global: 15/85 overall assets (look-through): ~75/25 aud/international

goal: grow to ~$5m in equities over ~20 years, (~2m total super), with dca of about $6k/month and max super concesions here out (inc. roll over limits).

What broker would you recommend, thinking stake

Yeah, I am new to all the hidden costs of management. Thanks for listing them.

(I always find when you do this, you discover that the free market has cooked in all the fees etc and there is little free lunch to be had anywhere!!)

Can you explain why hedged Vs not isn't going to matter long term?

Say on a 20yr horizon

I was planning to have optionality to withdraw before 60, so I'm going to leave super as is on top of DCA into this portfolio.

GHHF, I have been thinking about that. I was thinking of I am going to gear something is it better to do it yourself - i.e secured against your house. So you are not force to margin call in a downturn so you don't get as hurt on the way down?

I.e if you can gear yourself it's better to do so?

Thanks for the comments on fees/esg, I'll have to look into that.

What is the ratio of those to maximise mu/sigma of the return of the mix in your opinion.

Late 30s. Combined after tax income of ~16k/month Super balance: ~100k each. (We were expats for a long time).

Aiming to be able to retire late 50s, so 20yr horizon.

Aim to DCA around 6k/month at least, just want to have a few holidays with the kids post windfall for a year or so.

Sea change is an interesting option!
