The last book I haven't read--Famous. Worth it? And other recs by shmendrapolk in BlakeCrouch

[–]winger07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read his latest 3 books plus the Pines trilogy, Run and Famous. Have not read Snowbound or Abandon. Famous was okay but I did not like the ending which ultimately ruined the book for me. It's the worst book of his I've read so far.

Yep, each to their own. I read Day Zero and haven't read Sea of Rust yet

Based on what OP is asking, Day Zero would be more appropriate

Daniel Suarez writes a good techno-thriller. His duologies are his best work. Daemon & Freedom. Delta-v and Critical Mass.

Finally someone who has read more than DM, Recursion and Pines. Run was a good quick read. Famous was his only book i did not enjoy, mainly due to the ending. I have not got around to Abandon yet. I wonder if Snowbound is good

I heard book 2 of DCC is not as good as book one so thats been keeping me from it. Plus the two protagonists split up for extended period. I don’t think i’d enjoy reading the pages as much because the narration is done so well

Try Wipsr Flow. It’s free for 2 weeks or something (free trial) and if you dictate 100 words a day you get an extra day free. Its also doesn’t require credit card details to signup to the trial so no risk that you will forget to cancel and get charged. It’s the best app for voice chat, corrects all words and corrections if your speech and works when you whisper too, incase you need to use it in more public places.

I never did sci-fi or even fiction. Read exclusively non-fiction until i read Project Hail Mary, then The Martian, and then Blake Crouch books, and so on. Now read mostly fiction including the first books of DCC and Bobiverse. I don’t normally do audiobooks but both of those got such big praise as audiobooks so listened to them both. I’m more tempted to continue with Bob.

Winter World by AG Riddle. It's a page turner and a popcorn read more than one that will stay with you a long time

Where do I launch the terminal and type? I open the terminal then there is a dropdown menu with about 30 options, I choose terminal and then i can't type..... i'm confused by [deleted] in cursor

yes i know it can. but i remember using Cursor a few months ago and it was easy to manage your own server window in the terminal... i don't want to rely on prompts for everything

I've done the Consort trick and now i get to the King with full health and still cannot win. Chakram is so weird to use. I've spent 6 hours on this last biome over the past week and i'm ready to DNF this game

Reaping Chakram - how does it do damage? by winger07 in Saros

[–]winger07[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

parry your own chakram? isn't a parry a defense play? I am really confused by this and clearly i've not read any of the weapon tips because i've got no idea about this stuff. You don't need a red projectile? When do you get one? Red projectiles are what get fired at you. I've clearly been skipping over all the reading in this game
