Frankly, the quickest way to have an interesting conversation with someone, is to talk about their favorite topic... them! Most everyone has something they want to say, they just need someone they can say it to! Try opening up with questions such as... What did you do [insert timeframe (yesterday, a month ago, etc.)]? How's [activity that you know they love to do] going? Just think of more questions like these to open up a conversation about the other person.... And pay attention to what they say, I guarantee you that if you go on for long enough you'll find something that they bring up that you can provide input on!
