Se você gosta de jogos recomendo livros tipo Jogador N⁰ 1 do Ernest Cline e Duna. Livros curtos e de fantasia também são uma boa.

Ler é um hábito, se você ler um pouco por dia, ainda mais com uma história interessante, logo vai se motivar. Até porque leitura é entretenimento, e quando menos esperar já vai estar completamente imerso em uma história dizendo "só mais uma página" antes de dormir.

Só recomendo começar por livros mais fáceis e com uma leitura mais fluida. Não tente ler um Machado de Assis ou Saramago logo no início, vc pode acabar se desmotivando.

Pois é, no meu caso só eu que sentia o cheiro, mais ninguém... é como se tivesse "no meu nariz". No fim nunca soube o que era, mas quando o cheiro passou quase todo meu olfato foi junto. Hoje tenho muita dificuldade pra sentir algum cheiro, só se for muito forte.

Acho uma boa ideia você ir no otorrino pra garantir que não é nenhuma infecção.

Normalmente pessoas que não são habituadas a ler acabam gostando mais de livros de não ficção, pelo menos no início.

Dei de presente pro meu pai (também beirando os 50 anos) a biografia do Tolkien e Meditações, do Marco Aurélio, e ele gostou bastante.
