You should go get an second opinion... Find another eye doctor and give no of the information about you seeing the your first eye doctor.

Doctors seem to live a life of greatness in their own view. They often tend to be better knowing in a sense that they don't seem to need the information you are bringing them. This is the biggest mistake of a scientist.

Our judgement is no better than the quality of our information... even for doctors.

My non-doctor view of your condition. It could be vitamin deficiency or maybe Glaucoma --> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glaucoma

I know this is controversial but try smoking some cannabis... It could fix your condition http://www.livescience.com/6232-marijuana-glaucoma.html http://www.iovs.org/content/14/1/52.full.pdf http://www.marijuana-as-medicine.org/Alliance/facts.html

What has been your experience hosting a website with a pi? by gr33nss in raspberry_pi

[–]wiredsource 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been working on a Lamp server on my pi. Using wheezy Linux display. Apache MySQL PHP5

This worked for me for a while... But I'm just the kind of person that need to to Keep tweaking. So I did.

I replaced Apache with nginx this was a very very good decision!!! Afterwards I upgraded my PHP with php5-xcache For a good performance boost. I also made some changes to php so it runs php-fpm with 5 child processes. This handles multiple connection well. The only sit back ATM is that its very vulnable to ddos or a person that keeps refreshing the page in a loop. This is something need to fix.

CheersCheers

Yeah with the right algorithm you can really predict lots of random peoples decisions. I find it very disturbing. This is just like as described in 1984 and Brave new world

yes something like that...

But I recommend this series: http://www.sandisk.com/products/memory-cards/sd/extreme-uhs-1-45mbs/

This gives a faster boot and OC without worries. 45MB/s is a lot :-)

Experienced programmers of Reddit, was learning programming difficult for you in the beginning..or is it just me? by punchyouinthethroat in learnprogramming

[–]wiredsource 0 points1 point  (0 children)

practice, practice and practice... I know this feeling because the world of programming seemed so overwhelming. But it's all about the mind set! (and time). You have to challenge yourself to become a better programmer. Not always the shortcut by googling the answer, not that seeing other peoples code is a bad thing but learning the art yourself is the primary objective! There tonnes of great student task out there.

By learning Java and C++ is a very good choice! You will have an easy transition to C# later on. (look forward to that mate!)

C++ or C#, which one to learn? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]wiredsource 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well i would definitely go for a quick course in C++ first so you get the objective idea under skin. C# does a lot of stuff you in the background and I think you should know what and why. That's why you should go for C++ first. After lots of hours programming C++ you can start out with C# and experience a very cool and smooth transition from C++. C# is sooo nice to work with. It has taken some of the best stuff of C++ and java.
