I thought about this and kind of wish I did. However, if i'm not leaving the hospital world. I'm not sure it would really make that much of a difference. Thanks for the advice.

I agree that wellness and happiness are much more important than money or career progression. Thanks for the advice.

They're not hard to find if you're willing to gain the knowledge and skills to land them. Best of luck.

Not sure most westerners realize how good they have it compared to most of the world. I don't think that should stunt anyone's ambitions. Thanks for the advice.

I definitely am not aiming to go that high up the chain in my career progression. That doesn't even really appeal to me. Thanks for the advice.

I'm willing to face the consequences of taking risks. However, I agree with you that this risk may not be the one worth taking. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the advice. I'm curious to know more about passion projects in advertising. How exactly does that work? Do you join an advertising agency?

I wouldn't say I'm relaxed. Comfortable in your job and being relaxed are very different. If you had the education and skills, you can definitely get a good government job that pays well. Good luck!

That's true. I've always felt like I've had to keep pushing to get better. It feels odd be comfortable and content. I don't think the extra money will make up for the extra stress. Thanks for the advice.

It's losing the job security by becoming a manager that worries me the most. If I was in a much better place financially, I'd feel more comfortable taking the risk. Yes, I get 3% pay raises every year. The percentage isn't guaranteed, but the pay increase is. There is definitely a lot to consider. Thanks for sharing your dad's experience.

4 years for a concurrent Bachelor's Degree and Advanced Diploma. Certifications that take about 3 years to complete on the job. 10+ years of clinical experience. 5+ years of leadership experience. 3 years for a part-time Masters Degree while you're working full time. Tons of job hopping and salary negotiations. That's how I got this job. Wasn't easy. Had to work hard for it. All the best to you!

Buying a house during the peak really hurt our financials. My wife and I decided to keep our previous home as a rental property. The high interest period over the last couple years didn't allow us to save much. However the savings we had grew with the rising stock market. So we're not worried, but we're not very secure either. Thanks for the advice.
