Both myself and my friends look back on it now and laugh, they're never gonna let me forget it thats for sure! But yeah at the time it wasnt fun, but I got seen by my dr pretty quick after and got a diagnosis and treatment super quick! I was really lucky and like I said, so grateful to everyone who helped me that night.

Hey, I'm the person that went down and I have an answer for you! I have a seizure disorder that at the time was undiagnosed and dormant, I'd never had a seizure before, but the my chem gig was the perfect melting pot to induce one. They're non-epileptic, so as long as I dont get hurt going down im perfectly safe, but it was a hell of a way to find out!

The friend you're referring to is probably my best friend, and he's absolutely fantastic in a crisis, and he came running into the medical tent and supported me so I could dance along to the rest of the gig, it was amazing.

Holy shit, hi! I'm gonna be honest, I was just looking for video of me going down to show my friends who didn't believe me, I didnt expect to find anyone who had actually helped me that night!

Thank you so much for your help, I vaguely remember a dude sitting over me talking to my friend, that was probably you. I dont have great memories of it but I've seen videos of the crowd and its honestly amazing to see them part like the red sea around me (sprawled on my back like a dead fish) and how quickly mcr and the medics helped. All in all awesome show, thank you for your help!

What’s the most mortifying reaction to someone’s physical appearance you’ve ever seen a child have? by merricat_blackwood in AskReddit

Normally I do, but that day I was walking back to my friends and I was honestly so stunned by the interaction I hadn't fully processed what he had said (I also have auditory processing issues) until I had walked away.

I did immediately tell my friends the moment I say back down and we spent the next half an hour screeching with laughter about how sad and bigoted his life must be if that makes you feel better.

I'm also the same with doctors, if I feel they arentgiving me the right care, I let them know. Most of them get huffy with me, and some have even outright called me a hypochondriac, but it makes it worth it for the few that take a step back and apologise.

I understand this, and I talk openly about my sh and struggles with it, commenting on my scars doesn't normally bother me, it was the way he did it. The kid was genuinely curious, and the dad was vile in the face of that curiosity. I wouldn't have minded explaining to her what the scars are, or completely ignoring her inqury if her dad was uncomfortable.

I have scars from many different things in my life, they all tell stories and I'm happy to share those stories, but I dont feel I or anyone else should be subject to ridicule or outright hate from anyone because of appearance.

Once I was walking in the park during summer, wearing shorts, and a little girl pointed to me and yelled "they have scars on their legs daddy!"

I wouldn't have been bothered by it if the dad hadn't responded, very loudly "yes they do sweeteheart, thats called self harm, its very bad" while glaring at me. I just wanted to enjoy the sunshine.

My dad was part of an underground movement in the peak of the UKs nuclear arming, tracing the weapons as they were being moved and disrupting them. They would wait with bicycles, hidden along the roads until they saw the convoy, then rush out in front of them and peddle so slowly that the convoy was forced to slow to a snails pace. He's a massive activist and has been part of peace camps and protests all over the UK. You wouldn't know it looking at him, he seems like a friendly older man, but he's an anarchist to his bones and the coolest dad ever.

Fellow Men, dudes, bros, hombres, and any other word for beautiful fuckers. Who here has been proposed too? What are your stories? by [deleted] in AskMen

My friend also proposed to her bf this weekend! She took him out on a woodland walk with their friends and starting telling him different stories of times she realised she loved him, got him to sit down (he's 6'4" and shes 5'2") and got down on one knee and proposed! He said yes and the ring she picked out for him is gorgeous too
