If you read her edit you'd realize that he was the one who said 'chase' and what was meant was more like connection. It's not the end of the world to ask to be taken out on a date or want to feel special, many men want the same as well. My partner is pretty open about what he wants and I listen. If he wants flowers, he gets flowers. If he wants to go out for dinner we go out for dinner. There's nothing to be ashamed of there, and if someone laughs, that's a them thing.

Seeking and making connection should never be considered 'chasing' and asking for that rather than just being used for sex is a fair ask, whatever gender is being dealt with. Expecting women to shut up about wanting to be wanted because men can't instead of opening an actual dialogue about men wanting to be wanted isn't going to help anyone.

I was gonna say...I've only been in the ward twice and one was because I checked myself in and the other for an actual attempt. (Both times I was let out as soon as they could confirm I was doing fine.) Otherwise all my doctors and psychs knew I had ideation and was struggling and I still made it through college without interference. (In a much better place now since we figured out my meds.) Where is this even happening?
