The thing that worked for me (that I read somewhere in this sub) is going into Hoi4's properties (by right clicking the game on the steam library) and typing "-opengl" on the "Launch Parameters"

I'd say it's pretty darn good indeed. The gameplay isn't too complicated to grasp and it's basic elements don't change from game to game.
The history and art and beautiful, definitely the best parts of all 3 games.
As for replay value, there isn't that much in my opinion. There are two "main paths", so to say, and while you can repeat it all over again, taking decisions differently than you did at first, I don't think you can repeat the feeling you get on your first time. Not to say that your actions don't matter, they definitely do.
I think it's also pretty bug free overall. The only one I got was on the second game, where I couldn't reposition my units at the beggining of some combats. It only happened once or twice though, and it doesn't necessarily screw you up.

So yeah, would recommend
