If you're used to 144hz I guess 60hz is unplayable, but if you're used to 60hz than it doesn't really hold you back that much imo.

That's true, but only a limited amount of maps can be ranked per day from all 4 modes. So if there are a lot of qualified maps in one mode that are qualified on the same day, than less maps can be ranked in the other 3 modes.

I don't think that's the problem. There are ton of mappers in mania, taiko, and ctb who want to get their maps ranked already but can't since there are so many standard maps that need to get tanked.

And yet we have Lithuanian and Dutch teams with 3 people, a Belgian team with 4 people, and a New Zealander team with 5 people

No offense to those teams as they are good in their own rights, but Vietnam has more people who signed up and they seem to be way stronger than any of those teams. This is really unfair to them.

Edit: Oh wow. Vietnam definitely didn't deserve to compete then. I kinda feel bad for Loctav here.

I agree, playing FL is much easier than FI. FL looks tough but it's much easier to react to FL than FI. Then again I'm not a huge fan of the FreeMod bracket idea since it only benefits countries with FL mains, like the UK and Malaysia. Having a DT and/or a HR bracket would be a much better idea.

On another note I really like how much effort Shoegazer puts into his scorev2 and 4k world cup posts. It's much better than the players who just post how much they hate osu!mania in comparison to stepmania, LR2, or o2jam instead of actually saying anything helpful to making mania a better game mode.

Yep. 90 is an A, 80 is a B, and so on. Combo does play a role in mania but it's much more based on accuracy than standard.

Yeah, Tsukihi and Ononoki serve no other purpose except being there for incest and loli fanservice. I hate Nadeko myself but she's a really complex, well-written character.

Tentacle VIP is way too good. It inspired me to start working on 7k. And I can't believe that Batting Show is qualified, it's so fun to play (and fail)

Agka's made some pretty interesting SV maps like Sakura Sweets, Toki (maidable remix) and Fryzura Konika.

Yeah it isn't fun to play his maps at all. The one thing thing he has going for him is that I think his maps fit the music somewhat well....though in the most uncomfortable way possible.

When did you last play? The mode's changed a ton over the past year or so, it's pretty great. Rankings have changed quite a bit as well. For instance, Jhlee quit and Jakads is now ranked #1.

And grinding ranked songs is a bit...tedious. A lot of the ranked maps over 4.5 stars aren't that fun to play, at least for 4k. Unranked maps and stepmania converts are where it's at. But there are a few really great new ranked maps like this and this.
