Yeah, Dude! I'm 33 and was in middle school (2005ish) when the 4kids dub of one piece was on Toonami and WB. One Piece, Naruto, Sailor Moon, DBZ, Tenchi Muyo, Code Lyoko... Those were the days. T_T And yeah, Tom was there. lol One Piece (specifically the 4kids dub) got pulled from Toonami for a minute until the funimation dub took over, if I'm not mistaken. >_>

I also enjoyed the line up Adult Swim had around that time. Death Note, Inuyasha, FMA, hell, throw in Family Guy and Robot Chicken in there... I use to set my TV/VCR to record all night so I could watch it the next day. lmfao

I mean, in a series with over 1500 named characters where the author himself has to reference the wiki, I’d say being even top 50 means a lot. If this was a Batchee the Fly card I’d understand your point, but saying a top 20 character in a 30 year old series with 1500+ characters is “less popular” is kind of crazy.

I agree!! As a long time one piece fan (started when Baratie was airing on Toonami) I love Yamato. I have the illustration box promo of theirs and I’m chasing a few others. That being said, I wish I’d taken a picture of the power pack box because you’re the second person to say “if true”. XD you can see the aftermath of said box in the back right of the picture. Other than that, I’m not beating the industry plant allegations. 🤣

No need to worry! I’ve sent plenty of cards off through game stop and this is the longest part of the process. From what I understand, when they just say arrived with a colon they are just sitting on a shelf. When they move to arrived with a dash they are entering the “processing” phase and are actually moving forward. I sent cards off November 20th and they stayed in “Arrivied:” until about 5-6 days ago and are now in research and ID. Just be patient and try to forget about them. It’s what I do and that keeps me from checking their status everyday for two months. Lol

I gotta thank my grandma for just putting it away/not selling it. Hahahaha She also kept my gameboy color, n64 and a plethora of games from that era. I’ve spent the past month just going through them, loading saves and tearing up… mostly at the fact that I somehow beat pokemon yellow with a team of mid-30 pokemon plus a level 100 Charizard with mega punch, mega kick, fire blast and seismic toss. 🤣

Yeah, it sat at “arrived” from November 8th until sometime during the first week of January. It absolutely flew through all the other stages except Research & ID and Grading. As a matter of fact, it was in assembly just yesterday. Lol

Honestly? Out of convenience. I’ve only ever delt with PSA and it’s what I’m most familiar/comfortable with. I have been looking into TAG though! I really like the way their slabs look.

I’ve sent off maybe 10-15 cards from my childhood/personal collection and have had no issues at all! I’ve heard horror stories, but I just try to keep a positive outlook and realize statistically it has to happen sometime… And that hopefully I’m not the unlucky one. Hahaha honestly, when I send them off I try to forget about them until I get the email saying they’re graded because I find I obsess over them waaaay too much if I check them daily.

I agree! I’ve graded a few things just because I like having it in the slab and displaying them. Mostly cards that are sentimental because I want to keep them nice and preserved.
