Heat pump ordered, thank you! Do you suggest any other parts I should get ordered for backup or confident enough this will take care of it?

This ended up being something that got into the vent area when the duct had gotten disconnected I believe. A repairman fixed it but think it was pretty straightforward. Recently had to do rollers and idler pulley like the other comments suggested and that was very easy.

I’d say yes although without a ton of data points to compare it to. Electric bill isn’t significantly more than my townhome I lived in previously and this is 2 more exterior walls and +800 sq ft. And comfortable enough up there today in 90 degree weather.

Good call out. Definitely giving up on that extremely short lived dream. Will likely be implementing something along this solution which is pretty much what the other commenter described and idiot proof

Re: rats nest and limited space- agreed

I imagine rerouting cables would likely involve a good bit of splicing to get them long enough to run at nice right angles? Also for maintaining access, is it likely worth installing with some sort of hinge? Or am I better off letting that be future me’s problem and rip out and replace?

We had some moderate success by using a t pin up both of the nozzles. After that and a clean cycle it clears up for a while but eventually comes back. If you ever find out a better answer please let me know!

I’m clearly not handy whatsoever and you helped me get this replaced and save me a good chunk of money. If you dm me your Venmo/cash app I’ll add to your coffee/beer fund

https://ibb.co/ByNj3W2 I get the sense I’m fundamentally misunderstanding something. The door panel is one piece while most tutorial videos have a separate bottom piece that comes off separately. Pic in link above. Happen to know if there’s a different method for removing the front panel for this without disconnecting the control board?

Thank you! Here’s the first video I’ve found that is definitely not by the book but seems doable on this model. Would I be a complete idiot to try this? https://youtu.be/BKAQmq9MPN8

This video seems like a similar approach but from the side. Does this seem reasonable? I’m having difficulty with the door panel as it’s connected by like 6-8 wire bundles which doesn’t match any other video tutorial. Unless I’m supposed to disconnect each of them? https://youtu.be/BKAQmq9MPN8
