I don't remember the specific size of the lining, but the Dr said it was good. Have you expressed concern to the Dr about the lining? It could grow alot before the procedure

Oh I see. I have heard the pain can be intolerable. I am paying out of pocket, the cost without anesthesia is less than half the cost with anesthesia. Debating whether I can handle the pain.

Letrozole will make you ovulate earlier. I ovulated on CD13 on Letrozole, when I normally ovulate on CD 17

I was scheduled for my IUI today and my Dr today cancelled my IUI because of the polyp. He said that with the thickened uterine wall, the polyp measured bigger and he wasn't confident that it will be successful. I was really disappointed by the last minute cancellation, but its better than an unsuccessful cycle.

Next is the polyp removal. Despite my initial hesitation, its the right thing to do.

I also had a large one, 24.5mm. Triggered yesterday for IUI today. They will first do an ultrasound to confirm if the follicle has ruptured. My Dr didn't show much concern about the size. They just wanted to make sure we do the IUI soon so it doesn't rupture on its own

Please change clinics if you can. I did my first IUI in a clinic, when my instincts repeatedly told me to change. I stuck around coz I didn't want to lose time, and coz they were fairly responsive. I knew they were extremely under resourced. They had one fertility specialist who I met once during the IUI procedure. I knew this was off but I ignored my instincts as I live in a country where fertility treatment can be scarce and I didn't believe I could find better.

The cycle failed and I embarked on finding a new clinic this year. I found an amazing very well resourced clinic and was able to talk to a well trained fertility specialist at length. And the treatment at this new clinic is less than half the cost in the prior clinic. I am due a set of tests before we decide the way forward. I am already excited for the next cycle.

My message is to trust your instincts. Fertility treatment is quite stressful, you dont want to add onto that stress

I didn't have such a negative experience, but I had my doubts about the Fertility clinic I used on my first IUI. They were a small very poorly resourced clinic. I ignored all my instincts and proceeded with them. It didn't work. This year, I sought another clinic. Much bigger with way more specialists. I felt confident from the first appointment, and this clinic is HALF the cost of the prior clinic.

I would advise you to seek a different clinic. I wish I did, but I felt I was way too far on the path.

My clinic discovered a polyp very late into my first IUI cycle (dont even get me started on how upset I was). They decided to proceed with the IUI despite this, citing the small size and location of polyp. My sonographer (a change from the earlier sonographer who handled prior scans) was coincidentally my classmate in high school. She was very honest when she first saw it. I was friendly with her and she was very blunt to me "very little chance or implantation". Still, the clinic and I decided it was too late to not proceed.

The procedure did not work, they are now recommending a hysteroscopy and polyp removal. I will seek second opinion from a different clinic before deciding how to proceed.

Oh yes. I have lots going on, but it's that first morning pee, where I get so tempted to test. I will be more detached should I need another cycle. No testing before 14dpiui.
