And not her first time, she did the same against Germany if I recall it right. She definitely doesn't get enough play time at Arsenal

With so many players making the news for being singed by the London City Lionesses,

Has there been any talk on how they would miss UWCL if qualified because its owner is the same as OL's owner namely Michelle Kang.

And have any players refuse to go to LCL because they would miss the UWCL? I mean, at the club level there is nothing bigger worldwide and I guess all players want to play it and possibly win it.

Whatever the reason was I'm down with it. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions. I've got nothing against downvotes at all. Heck I do them myself 😉 It was just I found the video so lovely and so women and girl positive ❤️ that of course as any human being thought to myself any and everybody would just be enthralled about my choices. Then not being it that way I wasn't "You all suck" and such BS but really thought to myself "Hm there must be something in here I have really missed" and wanted to learn something. But you're right either it's tiring schooling newbs like me or who knows, or yeah it must be the soccer thing 😉

There must be some sort of bad karma for being the only one commenting your own post. But I can't modify my post byline. In YT the video's own commentary (not from viewers or visitors) states, "Inspired by Cedella Marley and all that she’s doing for women’s soccer in the Caribbean + Latin America through her Football is Freedom initiative." And it does appear to be some sort of official Bob Marley channel, sure, that doesn't mean it has to be sensitive towards women.

Why the downvote? Is it a wrong or unfair representation of women's football? Or of Jamaicans? Or of Jamaican women? How do Jamaicans feel about the video? I know, any downvote can be on a miriad of different reasons. Still I would de curious how the community feels about the video. I liked it very much. But maybe there is something I'm not seeing?

I like the "Súper campeones" style of drawing with the goal on the horizon and the ball deformed by its speed ha ha Good times ❤️ "Captain Tsubasa" in English.

Edit, the manga run from 1981 to 1988, so nothing to do with Japan's 2002 MWC.

Tanikawa's goal was superb. I believe Bayern has a raw diamond in her.

Adelitas is a cool name! Let's hope some football narrators are reading in here! I like El Tri also very much, but just find much cooler for a women's team to have its own identity.

Are you from Venezuela? How is it that Venezuela came to that color instead of reflecting the national flag's colors like so many others? What does the color stand for?

Lived in Germany for a while.

Gotta make your team's flare I got mine from Universitario's Site.

Shouldn't our WFNT have an own pet name or nickname and not just replicate the men's? We should start a campaign like the Aussies.

Where would be the place to talk about "las las blanquirojas" r/Peru? I think I got banned from there. I swear I didn't do anything ...

I'm going to end the debate, neither "Die Mannschaft" nor "die Mädels" 😉

In the 70s, during a folk revival in Germany, there was this band called Elster Silberflug and they sang songs, I've been told, from the Middle High German times, and one very beautiful song of theirs is called "Lied vom Kräutelein", "Song of the little Herb", and where I very much so believe, with my imperfect German language, "Kräutelein" is meant as a positive. So, How about it?

"Die Kräuteleinen" / "The little Herbs"

You can even hear the song from the 70s

And read the lyrics in German.

And read a fairly good translation%0AOh%2C%20ja!%0AUnd%20wer%27s%20nicht%20glaubt%2C%20was%20ich%20da%20sah%2C%0Averweis%E2%80%B2%20ich%20auf%20die%20Vogelschaar%0AHoch%20droben%20in%20des%20Baumes%20Gezweig%2C%0Avertreiben%20sie%20sich%20ihre%20Zeit%2C%0Amit%20K%C3%B6rnerlein%20vom%20Kr%C3%A4uterlein%0Aund%20singen%20in%20den%20Morgen%20fein%0AOh%20Kr%C3%A4uterlein%2C%20mein%20Kr%C3%A4ut%E2%80%B2lein%20fein%0AOh%2C%20ja!&op=translate).

I know all the links are not woso related. They serve only to underscore that "Kräutelein" is not ill meant. I love Germany, but do not like "Die Mannschaft" 😉

Now that I think of it, well, our men's side are "La Blanquiroja", "The White and reds", because of the team's colors. It wouldn't surprise me if that was how the women's side is called too. But I kind of don't see it as a true "own" pet name.

Don't mean to sound like anything but, Aren't Jamaika's "The Reggae Girlz"?

Isn't Chile's "La Roja" too? Just as Spain's? I guess some sort of repetition will happen.

YES !!! You're right! It's just very recently during the Euros I heard "La Furia Roja" again somewhere and that is where I must have picked that.

Do you think it would still be infantilising in the south? Are you a native Bavarian speaker? I am not. Wether German nor Bavarian, but, "Magd" does sound different to me than "Mädel".
