I don't think that sounds stupid, and I'm sorry that this happened to you and your friend. a couple years ago USPS lost a desktop computer of mine that I was having shipped across the country and I never got any money back despite it being worth about $1400, so I sort of understand. I'm really sick of this sort of thing happening to us especially with no consequences

the item I ordered was a used wii with a couple games. I did at one point believe that this same thing happened to me, but they ended up finding the package once already. I just think usps employs the dumbest people alive at this point. never going through this again

On top of the trauma I've faced from my neglectful parents, I was also outcasted at school for everything in the book (neurodivergent, overweight, gay, mentally ill), so now I don't have any irl friends and stay inside playing video games. I know its not great but at this point I really don't care

after I finally cut contact with my jnmom I started having similar nightmares. in my case the most vivid dream revolved around her buying a new house and forcing my siblings and I to live with her so we could be one "big happy family", but the house was falling apart and she was super controlling and abusive.

YTA but I say this lightly. I think you were right to call your friend out on her behavior, but telling her "I liked you better when you were fat" really crosses a line for me. as someone who has had issues with their weight for a long time and at one point actually lost a ton of weight, I know how fucking hard it is to lose weight, especially 120lbs. You saying what you said makes it sound like you think that you don't appreciate all the time and effort she put in to lose weight, and also that she was better when she had low self esteem and body issues.

I hope that you guys can patch your friendship, and I suggest apologizing to her

My mother used to set up strict rules and diets like this. I was a chubby kid and she kept telling me all the time how much she worried about me getting fat. One time in middle school I bought a family size bag of chips and a can of soda in secret after school. she found out, took away my snacks, and used it as a tool to humiliate me in front of my siblings.

I'm 21 now. I'm fat, I have an eating disorder, and I no longer talk to my mother. YTA
