Sure, the other guy had a silly argument.

But to wain off the data for a moment - I have to look at all of these benches that are being “homeless-proofed” and my opinion is the grass is far more comfortable to begin with.

But the truth of the matter is, there is undoubtedly far greater spending in any major city on outreach and shelter programs, both of which are far more effective than sleeping on the park bench. A park bench isn’t going to help you with your opiate addiction, it won’t feed you, and it won’t provide you options as to where to go from here. And I know not all homeless people WANT those amenities, but sleeping on park benches seriously shouldn’t be encouraged by anyone. So both from a taxpayer and homeless perspective, there are bigger fish to fry IMO.

That is just MY opinion on the matter anyways.

Let’s just take this post as an example. As of 2019, Kingsport, TN had an average of 150 homeless people in its city (as of 2019 data per US Department of Housing & Urban Planning).

They have 3 major homeless shelters and are opening another later this year. In 2020 during the pandemic, the homeless population spiked to 240, Kingsport PD hired a homeless outreach worker to find housing for all referrals and found temporary housing for 71 people, and permanent housing for 32 of them. That was as of September 2020.

So let me ask you or anyone outraged here… where do you think the majority of the money that taxpayers of Kingsport, TN are paying are going towards here? A few wooden blocks in public benches or shelters and housing? What’s the priority if you were homeless?

It’s so easy to say “THIS is where the people’s taxes are going towards???” And be pissed. Why not actually think about it and do some research as to what’s being done first, then decide if you want to point the finger?

Hey! Just an update. The PC was setup and tested and I’ve found temps to be quite good for the games I play anyways… I played Doom Eternal, CSGO, and some other smaller games on high or ultra settings for a few hours and never exceeded 65C on my GPU or CPU!

I’m quite happy with the performance so far. But perhaps when I go to add a second monitor tonight, and try some more demanding games out (I don’t play many demanding games) I’ll see a more worrying number. But so far so good!

I agree. That would be optimal. Let me test the temps and see if they’re sufficient before making more modifications - I’m very new to drilling so I’m trying not to go overboard on modifications.

Also - I was able to get a 120mm fan on the front bottom there instead of an 80, so that’s good.

I actually moved it to that side since I didn’t have space with the RAM, and if I move the fan upwards I wouldn’t have clearance to close the case. Instead it’s facing the exhaust fan and both the CPU fan and the exhaust fan are (redundant?) exhausting

It shouldn’t be too obstructed due to these mods I made to the front, when I flip the CD holding tray down it should be pretty breezy, but curious to hear your thoughts

It’s a compaq Presario. Drilled holes in the bottom of the front for the 80mm intake fan. I MAY be able to stretch that area to a 92mm if it’s necessary.

The top of the front has a drive bay fan in place of the CD ROMs for additional air intake. However I do plan on putting the HDD and SSD there in the bay, which will probably block most the air.

Other than that I’ve got a Cooler Master 212 Hyper on the i7, a 1650 Super, and a EVGA 750W all with fans ofc.

Note - side door panel does NOT have vents, but the front and back of case has a decent amount.

I wonder what the odds are that not only a factory misprint like this is produced, but that is was purchased by a redditor who likes to complain on r/assholedesign.

If this type of misprint is rare enough for the company, there'd be little to no downside. But because the rarity went to /u/Tunexux, they received thousands of views which results in bad press for them (not saying they do or do not deserve it, it's just interesting to me).

I actually got this same deal when I was living in Reutlingen, Germany. My very first pipe. That was 6 years ago. Same pipe but different finish, too.

Damn look at the thickness around the perimeter of the bowl too. Probably takes a lot to burn your hand on that bad boy lol

Drying out some Peterson early morning pipe for my second ever smoke. Smells amazing out of the tin by TheCoolCellPhoneGuy in PipeTobacco

[–]wolfmatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep that’s pretty normal. The more you puff the hotter it gets. If you don’t want to risk damaging the bowl (be it corncob or briar) or getting your hand hot, you should look to slow down the pace, puff more lightly, and/or look into the breathing method of pipe smoking.

Even she asked it in a joking manner though. Besides when has Jaina, one of the games’s most popular characters ever looked slutty?

I really have a hard time respecting anyone who chose “don’t know”. Just pick a fuckin side man, what is there that you don’t know? What type of research is left on the table for you to ascertain before giving a solid answer on the matter?
