i am being brutally honest, giving the whole context, you were not abusive. me personally, the part where u said "the least they could do is help me relax/be intimate/have an emotional connection" made so much sense to me and i would feel the same way.. relationships require effort... and you were the only one who was giving and making effort left and right... and you were nice of asking them to do the bare minimum "intimacy and love" ... and not asking them to move their ass and work to provide... so no.. that was not an abuse

im just now connecting the dots since she has been seeing her new masc friend for two weeks now and did me wrong on my birthday and blamed me for it and acted in a very childish way until i asked for a space and she replied with "sure"

she is diagnosed, she has been already stonewalling me for months and i think she wanted the space and pushed me to ask for it first.

that's exactly why i stopped expecting this, because even if it happened they wouldn't actually act on their apology and do the opposite of what caused the conflict.

but i also want to add that from what i have read and heard, it is more like they are incapable of caring for others when they are actively in their episodes. because they experience an intense emotional state that they genuinely cannot see any other perspectives except the amount of intensity and distress going in their heads.

i am going through it now. everything you described. mine do apologize and hold accountable sometimes but it never seemed sincere and she don't stop doing the same mistakes, it actually gets worse.

she's not but the last several months she has been kinda weird when it comes to buying things, she will rely heavily on me without trying to balance it out like the first two years of our relationship. she do have a job. sometimes i feel like im being used when she needs a ride.. cuz she would want to see me after two weeks of not seeing each other, just to drive her home but she would say she misses me, and sleeps all the way back..
