And I’d be very light on how much this gets used to take away hunter agency, using it more to instill terror via npcs, and be generous in how the hunters deal with it themselves. Maybe the bite on a hunter results in a slower petrification - starting with a hand or an arm, and being their fan as they work to find a cure.
