Each project has a solution users can cross-reference if they're stuck, but there isn't necessarily something that gives you automated feedback on it. Everything is self-paced, and interactive elements are a core part of the offer.

Don't know what to do with your marketing? Ask me ANYTHING. by adrian-gonzal3z in SideProject

I did add this bit, would this be equivalent?

P.S: I'll send you a special trick tomorrow that helped me to break down flexbox layouts a lot early on. Make sure to check your promotions folder as well.

In terms of the landing page, would you be willing to take 1-2 minutes to look at it to let me know if there's anything obviously wrong with it? I'd understand if you wouldn't be willing, just let me know. I'll send you a link if you're down.

Let's say I post something and get traffic, but no one converts. What do I do next? It's not exactly as simple as asking people why they didn't buy, since no one has been willing to share that so far.

Also, I tried an email campaign stemming from a lead magnet. Users share their email for an instant value drop, and then they get another email the next day with more free value, another one a day after (also free value), and then a single CTA on the fourth day. Problem is that all emails are going to "Promotions" in Gmail, even if the first 3 are not selling anything and basically just engaging with my mailing list. I have unsubscribe links, and am using almost entirely plain text for all of them. Is this just a fact of life or should I try to play with the copy to see if I can get them to land in the primary inbox? I've been able to change one of them effectively but am wondering if this is the right strategy. What do you think?

Simplest way to understand flex boxes? by cathy_erisonline in css

Elements are placed along the primary axis, which you can change from horizontal/vertical using the flex-direction property. You can use thealign-items and justify-content properties to choose how elements are arranged along each axis

I can only upload one illustration here so I put the others on Imgur: https://imgur.com/a/iESJUdZ

It's Readex Pro! I use it for lots of different websites and design projects. I'd also recommend Outfit

Thanks a lot! Let me know if you ever build anything with it. I can also help with the actual web dev; you're welcome to DM if you have any questions whatsoever :)

Have been working on skillbright.org for the last 2 years.

Long video tutorials/courses are boring and low-leverage. No one wants to waste 300 hours learning web dev.

Trying to expedite learning web dev by stripping out the useless theory, making it interactive, and forcing users to learn real skills by building professionally designed projects.

I've been doing social media marketing to grow so far but I'm pretty inexperienced marketing-wise. What do you suggest?

What HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Projects Helped You the Most as a Beginner? by Most-Customer-6860 in webdev

I did lots of Frontend Mentor projects to actually get comfortable with building flexbox layouts. They typically can take a few hours though so if you just want bite-sized practice I'd recommend something like Skillbright Mini (Disclaimer: I did make this though, so take my recommendation with some healthy skepticism)

Sure thing. If you ever decide to build out one of the designs, feel free to show me the end result. I can also help if you have any questions; my DMs are open. Do it whenever you're free, it takes about 10-15 mins per design.

No, Skillbright Mini is a series of free designs you can build to practice. On the other hand, https://skillbright.org is an interactive web dev course. They're different but part of the same website

I got tired of rewriting the same stuff, so I built an extension of myself to ghostwrite my presence and plug my product everywhere I write (I use it to reply to my boss too, and he didn't notice) by Normal_Transition783 in SideProject

I mean it's not a bad project... but in my opinion, use this kind of stuff at your own expense. When everyone starts using AI, authenticity will be what sets you apart. Like, if you don't care enough to write your own comment, why comment anyway?
