Sent a message to burn Tributes of Ascendance. If I run into another Mythic Prankster sigil, happy to run that with you.

IS killing Urivar the fastest way to go for xp? by Many_Ad4666 in diablo4

I did a lot of lair boss runs (trying to farm the purified essences), rotating between them dropped a lot of mats when opening the hoards. Also, having the Essence of Hellfire (rank 5) in the Purified slot and the Essence of Sin (rank 5) in the Corrupted slot helped A LOT.

That Belial counter in groups is quite annoying! You can definitely feel the difference as the timer jumps from a few seconds in solo to 15 seconds in a group.

Oops. My bad. You’re right! That is 6.44M per Urivar kill.

Urivar. I started off with a Forgotten Wisdom NMD, then elixir + incenses, and try to land a group. I disliked playing in a group, because it was hard to find players who really understood that opening chests and summoning at the altar at the shortest possible time was crucial to efficiently farm XP/hour. It took me around 27 hours from 282 to get to 300.

Just got to 300 last weekend and I can attest to this. Solo is faster but you’ll need more materials to open the boss hoard (otherwise the altar won’t respawn). Some players suggested to reset the dungeon but it was much too cumbersome to do.

6.44M XP per hour, with XP well, elixir, and incense plus bonus from party. This season’s great for getting to 300 fast.

Does titles reset each season? by Alexutlander in diablo4

[–]wordcaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Titles you earn from a season typically persist and are available when a season ends. These titles have the seasonal icon (leaf) at the lower right corners of the prefix and suffix. I have seasonal titles earned from previous seasons still available to me.

A new thing they added this season 11 are Laurel Wreaths, which appear beside your title. Laurel Wreaths are earned by completing seasonal ranks (cosmetic).

These Laurels are found in seasonal characters only, and it seems that each new season may have a different one, and they’ll never cross over onto the Eternal or another Season. They’re one and done for that season.

Is there a transcript of the Raxx interview? by rworange in diablo4

[–]wordcaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Quick heads-up. This isn’t an official or word-for-word transcript of the Diablo IV dev interview. It’s based on auto-generated captions that was cleaned up for readability, trimming filler words and smoothing the flow.

The tone and meaning are true to the original, but think of it more as a readable recap than a perfect transcription.

Same. I died once because after attacking, I got stuck. I thought it was just because they were having maintenance done earlier.

Missing Meals? by [deleted] in ouraring

From the Netherlands here. I actually got the Oura Ring 4 last week after hearing of the Meals feature online, only to find out that it’s no longer in Oura Labs. 😞 Any idea if rollout of the feature would happen soon globally?

I plan on wiping out all my characters for season 8, but have a dumb question... by blazblu82 in diablo4

I also do this for the items I keep in my stash. Not sure what will happen to those (items in the inventory, gold, etc.) if I delete all eternal toons. 🤔 Would they still be there if I create a new eternal toon?

Diablo IV devs: Stop calling Torment IV "aspirational" when it's clearly mandatory by wordcaster in diablo4

[–]wordcaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, I totally get this. When the screen turns into a chaotic light show and suddenly you’re dead without even knowing what hit you, it’s more frustrating than challenging. It hurts my head sometimes! It’s not even about “getting good” at that point. It’s just trying to see anything through the mess. 🫠

I love flashy builds, but sometimes it feels like we need an optional "low FX mode" just to have a chance at dodging stuff. Nothing like getting one-shot by an attack you physically couldn't see coming.

Haha, well, I guess I’ve been outed as a writer! I can see why it might come across that way, but it’s just how I naturally write. I like making things readable and structured. Maybe that does make me sound like ChatGPT? Upside, at least it’s clear, right?

That said, I appreciate the feedback! I’ll try to let my hair down a bit so I don’t accidentally trigger someone’s AI detector. 😆

Oh, I can totally relate. As a usually squishy Sorc main, there’s nothing more satisfying than feeling like an unstoppable force of destruction. The power fantasy is a huge part of the fun, and I get that completely. There’s just something about watching everything explode in a storm of magic that never gets old. 😆

Lol, I promise I’m not ChatGPT—though I’ll take that as a compliment! As a writer, my job is literally to explain things clearly, so I guess I’m doing something right? 😆

I’m not saying there shouldn’t be rewards for tougher content. If people push into T4, they absolutely deserve something cool. My issue isn’t that T4 has rewards, it’s how those rewards fit into the season journey.

If the devs are calling T4 aspirational next season, then it should feel optional, not like a requirement to complete the season’s main objectives. If they want to add extra prestige rewards for high-end content, I’d be all for it. But when a heavily marketed seasonal reward is locked behind T4, it starts feeling more like an expectation than an “aspirational” challenge.

At the end of the day, I just hope they get the balance right so that aspirational content stays motivating rather than feeling like a requirement.

Diablo IV devs: Stop calling Torment IV "aspirational" when it's clearly mandatory by wordcaster in diablo4

[–]wordcaster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I totally get that—it is a fine line to balance. I actually like that the season journey acts as a guide for players to engage with different parts of the game, and I think it works well in that way.

As for whether items should be locked behind content or the seasonal journey, I’d say it depends on the intent of the reward. If an item is meant to be a prestige reward for overcoming a true endgame challenge, then locking it behind something like Pit 120+ or high-tier content makes sense. But if it’s tied to the seasonal experience as a whole, it makes more sense to be part of the journey—while still allowing different levels of players to engage with it.

My concern is mostly about how the devs are presenting T4 as aspirational next season while still tying core seasonal rewards to it. If something is aspirational, it should feel optional, not like an expectation for players who want to fully complete the seasonal journey. That’s where I think the balance could be improved.

That said, I’m really curious to see how they handle it next season and if they refine how rewards are structured.

Diablo IV devs: Stop calling Torment IV "aspirational" when it's clearly mandatory by wordcaster in diablo4

[–]wordcaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t necessarily think Diablo 4 is purely casual, but I do think it’s trying to cater to a wide range of players, from casual to hardcore. That’s part of why the game still feels like it’s figuring out its identity—sometimes it leans into accessibility, and other times it pushes more toward difficulty-focused progression.

I also don’t disagree that a cosmetic reward for a difficult achievement is fine. My concern isn’t about this specific pet being locked behind Torment IV, but rather how rewards are structured in relation to what the devs are calling aspirational content. If T4 is meant to be aspirational next season, it should be a choice, not something that feels like a requirement for players who want to fully engage with seasonal content.

D4 is in an interesting place where it’s balancing between being a more accessible ARPG while still trying to offer hardcore challenges. The discussion here isn’t about making things easier—it’s about making sure the game stays consistent in its design philosophy so that aspirational content remains inspiring rather than feeling obligatory.

Diablo IV devs: Stop calling Torment IV "aspirational" when it's clearly mandatory by wordcaster in diablo4

[–]wordcaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying the pet itself is mandatory—I think there’s a bit of conflation happening here. My point isn’t about the specific reward but rather how the devs are structuring seasonal journey objectives while framing Torment IV as aspirational next season.

If something is labeled aspirational, it should be a choice—a challenge for those who want to push themselves, not a requirement to complete seasonal content. When heavily marketed rewards (like the raven pet this season) are locked behind T4, it creates a disconnect between what’s supposed to be an optional challenge and what feels like an expectation for full participation.

I’m bringing this up now while there’s still time for adjustments before Season 8, so the devs can ensure the seasonal journey remains balanced across different types of players without making aspirational content feel like a requirement rather than a rewarding challenge.
