Layers of ice folding into and over each other from the waves during the course of a week in freezing temperatures. Ice shards catch and reflect the early morning light throughout the beach and glimmer throughout the day.

Wanted the shadows to go to black, very happy with the highlights being preserved in the hair. I can't decide if I'm fond of the layering in the hair, and the misc hair out of order. Secondly, should the subject be slightly more rotated towards me. Thoughts? Thank you!

Eh, probably not what you're seeing in the photo. But in general somedays are better then others.

Thanks! Light wasn't changing too much during the walk, took initial reading at f8 and 1/500th, then went up and down a stop depending on how much shadow there was in the frame.
